I totally get it. There are even better VCA dupes than this as well that look very much like the real thing. However it feels more incognito to me to wear VCA, in a good way. I know mine are real and I live in an area where it would be considered very “show-off” if people knew what they cost (most people have no idea of what VCA even is in my neck of the woods). So I feel glamorous while also flying under the radar in my community.

I went to tjmaxx the other day looking for a late Halloween costume for my daughter. A lady that works there looked at my onyx and mop Va bracelets and said, “oh, we get those very frequently” 🤣 of course I did not say anything. Who knows, knows.
Well, I went to try on the RG hammered 10 motif this morning, fully prepared not to buy it, and then completely fell in love! Oops! 😂 My birthday is next month, so it will be an early birthday present.

I would go with the pop of onyx as it’s bit edgier than mop imo and you already have the Guilloche. The rumor is Magic has been discontinued so if you find pair in France grab them.
I actually prefer people buy these inspired by pieces then ‘fakes’. My daughter bought a tiger eye fake Alhambra in Vietnam when I was not looking haha. She wears it to school. She is 12 so she is not wearing her real HP to school. She mentioned the older girls wear what appears to be real Vca pendants. I would actually prefer to find her something more inspired by to wear.
She is at that age. She is eyeing your collection especially your Alhambra pieces.
I know! Need to keep it all locked away. Her tiger eye stone is actually really pretty and makes me want to get her a real one. Must resist!
Oh wow, did not know they were discontinued. In that case I agree that I should grab a pair or two in any color. Justified purchase lol. Onyx 10 or 20 has been m my list for a long time. I went with guilloche first since it was newly released. Thank you for the advice ❤️

@lynne_ross not to enable but my daughter was also eyeing my VCA as well. I gave her my hammered RG pendant, which like the tiger's eye, pretty hardy. She wears it all the time and I was not so it found a good home.
