I have the opportunity to purchase a RG hammered 10 motif. I haven't tried it on yet. I'm sitting here playing around with my 5 motif RG bracelet to see how it would look as a necklace and I'm not so sure about it.

Thoughts? I took pics in different lighting. I won't be mad if you all tell me that you hate the hammered on my neck because it will be 10k saved 😂.
You aren’t in love; save your 10k for something you actually do love!

I wear a lot of RG but I'm thinking it looks better on me with a stone or diamonds for some brightness like my pave pendant. RG hammered looks too washed out to me on my neck, it feels like it is too much plain RG? I like how it looks on my wrist, but my arms are not as pink/pale as my neck.

I’m kind of conflicted on hammered in general. I want a hammered bracelet and maybe a pendant for the durability/every-day factor but that doesn’t really apply for a necklace like this (you’re not gonna sleep in that anyway!). So I’d agree it might be more worth it to choose a stone that pops more. The color is close to your hair color so I do think it looks more low-key, bordering on washed out, than you probably want for such an expensive purchase.

I agree with you that it has a more casual look, which can be nice, but not sure that casual is something I want for that price. I feel like MOP may be a better option for me. I think I'm having FOMO because hammered is so hard to get lately.

I agree with the others that you shouldn't get something you really don't love, especially at that price point. My second VCA purchase, over ten years ago (!), was a hammered YG set of earrings, bracelet, and 10 motif necklace. They were very 'ordinary' at the time, and widely available. I don't wear them very often when I'm home as, like you, I want that pop of color. However, they are my absolute favorite set for travel. I don't worry about them at all. I can sleep in them if I have to, wear them in the shower, in the rain, on an overnight flight, or put them in a travel pouch and not worry about them scratching or breaking or any of the other things which can happen with some of the more delicate stones or guillochet. They go with everything - casual, dressy, colorful/solids/prints. I also tend to wear the bracelet and necklace together as a 15 motif necklace as it falls better for me. Because it's so versatile, I never bother to take off my 6 motif sweet RG bracelet (purchased more recently, but when they were still widely available), so I guess 'sturdiness' is important to me ;-) Good luck with your decision!

I think the 10 motif hammered looks too gaudy on my skin tone. It’s a lot of plain gold.
But I think the 16 motif is a perfect balance. You should try it

RG or WG is only colors i prefer. Pretty to new wg actually. If 10 motifs came in rg guiloche, I’d consider. But nothing so far catches my eyes. I ended up with a store credit because i returned a 10 motif onyx piece.
I wonder about blue agate but again YG is not my thing. Also, not sure about that many pop of color clovers. I think hammered rg is very subtle which i like.
I also tried rg magic with gmop. I would get it in a heartbeat if it came in rg guiloche.
When my 20 comes and it doesn’t work, I’ll prolly go for magic single pendat route. Either settle with yg guiloche or wait for special order to be available for rg guiloche.
Here is me trying 10 motif onyx, blue agate, and magic gmop.
Honestly, I would try the six motif magic necklace. I think it would sit nicely on you. It has more presence than a 10, but it’s not as challenging a length as a 20

I was hoping to get some recommendation regarding the question that causes insomnia to me. I currently have
YG pave vintage earrings
YG Large frivole earrings
10 motif guilloche
5 motif guilloche, mop and onyx
large pave frivole pendant

What would you add to the collection?
a. Yg Magic mop earrings
B. Yg magic onyx earrings
C. Yg 10 motif vintage onyx
D. Yg10 motif vintage mop

You have a great mix. I would select 10 motif in whichever color works best with your skin tone. I didn’t vote earrings because the pave moves interchangeably.

Second this advice. Also, I haven’t seen the Magic earrings in a long time so maybe hard to come by

Thank you for the advice! I may be able to get my hands on a pair of magic from my trip to France. Got on a waiting list couple of months ago in one of the boutiques in France. I also think that Va pave is interchangeable. I don’t think I will need another pair of va alhambra earrings. That’s why started gravitating to magic.
I love how 10 motif onyx pops out against my skin and I also love the luminosity mop adds to my face.
