I don’t think there is a correct answer, but I will just throw out another perspective. I think it is reasonable to have a nice basic like a pave pendant as an option, even if you are not a pendant person. It is like having a loaf of bread in the house even if you are not a sandwich person. Sometimes you just need something quick and simple with no extra planning or effort required. Sometimes you need an easy, versatile piece to finish off a look, or something multi-functional and small for travel (and all-weather safe), sometimes the look is more the sum of its parts rather than needing to be deeply in love with each piece.

I’m not sure if the pave pendant is your solution for that mostly-functional but still beautiful jewelry piece, but it was for me. I originally had two; now I only have one, and that was the right balance for me.

Strangely I feel this way about pendants. I’ve tried so many and finally found the right one. My pave perlee pendant is the one that goes with everything and feels appropriate all the time, even in home clothes. So having that one piece feels right for me. I don’t need more than one but I always felt like something was missing until I found the ONE. I’m on the journey with you until you find yours.

Hiiii

Fellow Virgo and VCA lover here. I love the look of Tiger Eye, and I was born in Year of the Tiger. I dont own Tiger Eye since it is advised that Virgos stay away from it. I passed on the Lucky Alhambra bracelet because of the TE Butterfly on it…

I own a 25-30 crystals in various shapes and sizes, but never added TE to my collection.

If you’re anything like most Virgos, I believe owning the TE will do you more harm than good; It’s already in our brains “we should stay away from it…”, so whenever something negative were to happen after owning the TE, your brain will always go back to the energy associated with the TE and Virgo/yourself….
Did this happen to me because of the TE? Would things have happened differently if I wasn’t wearing it?

The fact you that the Universe is telling you not to get it IS 100000% your reason to (unfortunately) not purchase TE. I believe your intuition knows but your brain is looking for loopholes, explanations, etc…

Now IF you didn’t believe that different stones types carry various energies, or weren’t into astrology, then it would be a little bit different; My sibling genuinely doesn’t care about any of these things whereas I wouldn’t be able to get past it..

Onto The Husband -
My DH was the same with VCA in general :lol:. I think some husbands take longer to warm up to certain things, like jewelry. You should complete your set, it seems your heart was set on it. I completed my set with my first 3 VCA purchases and I have no regrets! You will be happy with a full set, and then can move onto other pieces…
OR
Opt for RG Sweet earrings if your heart doesn’t want the Carnelian. (I was also going to suggest YG or RG bracelet instead of TE).

BTW, Did your Husband say why he hated the earrings?

I know how difficult it is to make a decision when your DH (or anyone close to you) makes a negative comment about something you love :confused1:. You’re happy with your decision you made for yourself but then you second guess yourself because of someone you love.
One thing I have learned over the years is, whenever my heart is set on something but then I change it based on others opinions, I end up being unhappy.
aka - follow your gut!

I also understand how confusing it is when you learn you should stay away from something :crybaby:. I have wanted to add Malachite to my VCA collection, but various spiritual advisors suggested I do not wear that stone:oh:.

Overall, follow YOUR intuition. Only you know what feels right to you . You will be the one wearing it - choose what makes YOU happy!

I tell others “your intuition knows the way, but it’s your mind that confuses you.”

And happy almost birthday season :yahoo:.
hello. I wish there was a specific thread discussing VCA stones in this way.

I am also a virgo and initially dismissed tiger eye as an option. then I could not stop thinking about the beauty of the vintage Alhambra pendant. I began an online search on the meaning of this stone and how to incorporate it as a virgo. I learned that it brings out confidence and boldness, which aligned with something I was going through at that time. interestingly when I got my 10 motif in malachite, it was because green is my favorite color, but later I researched malachite and found that the stone energy helps with resurfacing issues within yourself (also exactly what I was going through at the time).

ultimately, if you are drawn to a specific stone, there is usually a connection and possibly you are ready for its energy.

Malachite vca lost its shine. How to fix?View attachment 6053628
can't be fixed. malachite naturally loses its shine over time because the humidity in air oxidizes the copper in malachite, making the surface lose its shine. the process is faster if it's frequently in contact with sweat, oils, lotion, or perfume, or if you live in a place that is warm and has high humidity all the time. it is really not an everyday piece, that stone.

if it bothers you so much, you can ask a quote on stone replacement (I read somewhere that it's $220+ per stone in the US; don't know the cost in other places), but bear in mind that they have to do the entire creation to color match. so if it's a 20-motif necklace, they have to replace all 20 of them at once.

so a single stone cannot be replaced for any of their creations but rather has to be all of the stones even if the other stones are fine as is? (aside from the pendant of course)

that is correct, because as mentioned, they need to color match. and it's easier to find several matching stones in stock, than finding the one that matches your existing creation.

this is only for Alhambra creations, as far as I know. I think it's different with high jewelry, for example. I know for Mystery Set pieces they allow a per piece replacement because rubies, for example, are difficult to source as it is

I was told differently but it depends on the circumstances and the stone. If one got cracked and the other pieces are fine I was told they can replace just one. And I think it’s different if it’s an onyx piece where matching isn’t an issue. But this was a while ago. Ask your SA.

Hello everyone. I want to get an extra strap for my Sweet Alhambra watch but I don’t see this available online. I don’t have a VCA store in my country, and I am currently postpartum so I’m not able to travel for a few months. My sister is going to New York next week and I want to ask her to buy me the strap from VCA. Would she need to bring my watch with her to the store?

I would email/call the NYC store and ask in advance of your sister's trip, they may be able to respond with their requirements.

a small ode to sweet alhambra, featuring my new acquisition (Shinjuku Isetan LE YG diamond 6 motif), my first VCA piece ever (RG hammered) and the WG diamond version. These are such fun, carefree pieces  Now the YG needs to go off to be resized.
Love the Shinjuku Limited edition. Been searching for it on the resale market for a long time and have not been lucky. Enjoy your new bracelet! It’s absolutely beautiful. If you don’t mind me asking, where were you able to source it from, considering that it is a very rare and difficult piece to find in the resale market? Thank you.

It’s beautiful! I actually like it more than the WG, as you can see the metal and it highlights the diamonds more compared to the just general sparkle you get with WG.
You may (once special orders open up again and if you qualify) be able to SO it via your SA. My SA told me she has done that before successfully with this combination. But until those open up again, and there’s no indication as to when that will be, you’ll have to search on the resale sites.
I got it at dearluxe. I find that they are the best at sourcing the very rare things, i’ve bought twice from them and had a great experience. I believe others from this thread have also purchased from them.
