Is it possible they are more similar in color, but the necklace appears brighter because it’s on top of a white shirt? Someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think agate is a bit transparent so whatever it’s against will change how the color appears.

That is my understanding as well. The shade is darkest when it's against a black background, lightest when it's on air by itself. The color changes depending on the background so it will look different on different backgrounds. To compare like-for-like precisely, I guess one needs to put the stone on the same background.

No, they are really different shades. I’ve included pictures where the necklace is on grey tray. And somewhere here I’ve posted my bracelet before against a white windowsill.

You are so lucky to get one with such a dark shade. I"m still looking but they no longer do dark agate shade like this anymore unfortunately.

I’m in Paris right now. I just went to the mothership this morning to try the 20 motif blue agate and I fell in love.

I thought it would be too long but the lowest part reaches only until my solar plexus.

Here’s me trying to show the set I will have once I get the 20 motif. My bracelet’s stones are darker but I don’t mind. I would actually prefer the necklace’s stones to be like the ones I’m wearing.

Also, I just want to say that I love VCA’s service. I set up an appointment on the website a week prior my arrival, and I explicitly stated that I wasn’t going to purchase. I just wanted to try the necklace and plan for the future in case I like it. Then the weekend before my appointment I got a WhatsApp message that the necklace was ready for my viewing

When I got there this morning, my SA took a while looking for it. Apparently it was moved from the display case because someone has already reserved it, 3 days after I got the WhatsApp message. Alhambra creations move fast.

But she got the permission for me to try it on. Though I wasn’t going to buy anything, I was still offered champagne, coffee, tea, water. I just asked for water and it came with a tiny box of assorted chocolates.

I was so overcome with appreciation that I said, “oh my god, service here is so much better than Hermès” 🤣

My SA said that she had heard that several times from clients. 😅

I asked her how I will go about it when I am ready to buy. She said I could bank transfer 30% of the amount and I will have it in a few weeks. It will be held for me for a month max. However if I pay full price, when it becomes available, she can hold it for me for up to 3 months. I didn’t want to know what happens after 3 months. 😄

It was a very short appointment. I think I was there for less than 10 minutes. But in that time I realized that wow my tastes really change so fast. I booked this Paris trip in January hoping to win the lottery (ugh) to get a chance (ugh) to maybe buy a Kelly Quadrille at Hermès, and now it’s the farthest thing from my mind. All I can think of right now is not spending that Kelly money and saving up some more to get the necklace 🤣

And I really really love visiting this store. People are so nice.

Love this piece on you. I’m so glad your experience was wonderful. VCA has the absolute best service and always makes luxury shopping experience feel exactly how it should. I would definitely get this over the Kelly.

Oooh be my twin @lynne_ross I have worn my MOP butterfly BTF ring to death by now and the reason is the versatility and wearability of white MOP being paired seamlessly with everything! It’s an easy piece to incorporate with any wardrobe

Regarding durability, I am careful with my things but not overly so. I have run errands and done Costco runs with my white mop butterfly ring with no issues till now. Holding heavy bags of groceries and wearing the MOP butterfly ring is not something I would recommend but I have (multiple times) and my ring has survived the ordeals 😬
I have forgotten the number of times I have washed my hands wearing the ring and it still sparkles like new. I think it’s the polished surface that makes the white mop more durable in the butterfly BTF ring? That’s what my SA has told me when I got my ring.

My vote to wear the white MOP Butterfly BTF ring with Serpenti RG earrings please! That’s how I usually wear them even though my pave serpenti earrings are in WG! Eyeing the semi-pave RG ones next!

Eternals I finally got a chance to try butterfly ring today and I am in love! The mop glows even in the crappy store lighting. Need to decide on size though as it fits different than other rings. And my fingers change size so much with the crazy heat here. Thanks for all the pics!!

It looks amazing on you! I will say that I love this ring, haven’t had it long but just love the femininity and design of the two butterflies. And the mop is mesmerizing! I opted for a looser size option. Good luck deciding!! ❤️

Gosh it looks stunning on you @lynne_ross Isn’t the glow of the polished WMOP on another level? Honestly it’s spoilt all other WMOP for me! I had the opportunity to try the two-motif WMOP earrings in RG a few weeks back and I kept comparing it to the polished WMOP on this beautiful ring and the glow of this ring overpowered the regular WMOP for me. I had no hesitation saying no to those earrings!

BTW I love pairing serpenti pieces with this butterfly ring! I love the contrast of the edgy serpenti design and the whimsical beauty of the butterfly ring!

Can’t wait for you to add this ring! I don’t remember which size I ultimately chose but I went for a loose fit because I prefer loose rings on me.

Thanks so much! Do you find the ring spins with a looser fit? Most of my rings are loose and I find them much more comfortable. But it was hard to tell how a looser would feel with this style.

Thank you @lynne_ross Honestly after getting this watch I have been neglecting all my bracelets and watches.

My ring is pretty loose. I went one size up for both my Frivole BTF and the butterfly BTF rings. Makes the rings more comfy especially in summer when my fingers bloat!
