Thank you! That is my goal with this milestone gift. I want to wear it on flights, casually, dressy, and the hammered gold seems like a good fit. I am leaning towards it and getting more excited by the day. I just have to get to a boutique…
I never thought of/considered lab diamonds before, but they also seem like a good alternative for tennis bracelet/eternity bands for me.
If you are sure you will get the RG MOP butterfly ring to wear it with your Serpenti ring, I think the Serpenti earrings will be perfect. The earrings will make a perfect matched look with the Serpenti ring, and the butterfly ring will be special accent piece.
The RG MOP butterfly earrings will work, but they are not as nice as the diamond butterfly ones in my opinion. To me, the MOP stone changes the whimsical butterfly look to more of a cutesy butterfly playset look, a bit childish, as there are so many MOP butterflies now, and MOP can look like plastic-y in a cutesy setting such as butterflies. I hope that made sense. I am sure once you try on the MOP earrings and ring together, you will immediately know if you love it or not. Jewelry is all personal preference.

I recently lost one of my WG Frivole pave earrings. I just bought a new pair, but that was the easy part. I now have to annoy myself and go through the "adjust my earring" drama again.Not looking forward to it.
Back to your earrings...
Since you have the Serpenti ring, I would go for the matching earrings. I assume you have the full pave ring, and the "scales" kind of make the ring look like it's bezel set diamonds, even though it's not. The bezel edge though will look great against the similar bezel edge of the butterfly, especially the MOP.
But... full circle back to your ring...
The RG MOP butterfly ring is nice, and I am sure you know this, but with a MOP ring (or any pearl ring) you can't exactly wear the ring when you're roughing it out. I find pearl bracelets and necklaces easy to wear, and I wear them even when I'm roughing it out. However, hands get banged a lot, so pearl/MOP rings aren't quite everyday rings vs. the sapphire ring as sapphires are pretty durable.
If you are trying to find a RG ring to match your RG Serpenti, maybe try the RG pink sapphire butterfly ring. Of the two RG choices, for me, I would choose the RG pink sapphire.

Oh no about losing the pave Frivole earring! Did they let you repurchase just one earring or did you have to buy the whole set again if you don't mind my asking?
Hi! VCA won't sell just one earring as VCA will not create a "third" earring with the same serial number as the original pair. Each earring pair has a unique serial number as you know.
What VCA does is they allow you to purchase a new pair of earrings for 60% of the retail value if you give them your single earring. My SA told me VCA just melts down the single earring.
The process was simple. I bought a new pair of earrings from my SA. My SA sent me a FedEx label so I could FedEx him my single earring. Super fast.
The new pair of earrings, of course, comes with a new COA, new packaging, etc... just as if you purchase a brand new pair.
I love it. It’s easy to wear more casually since it’s not super sparkly but the chatoyance is beautiful.

Good question, and I should have stated that for clarity.
I had to purchase it at the current retail price. So, 60% of the current retail price plus you have to give them your single earring.
To be more specific in case it might be helpful to you (or others)...
My new receipt shows my purchase of a Frivole WG pave earrings along with the details and serial number. The price is listed as the current retail price. However, at the bottom where it shows payment, there is an entry that shows an adjustment of the 40% off. Hence, while it does state the full retail price of the earrings, the transaction details show I only paid 60% of retail. I like that detail to know the actual retail price for my future reference.
Oh.. more specifics (now I'm bombarding you with detail
)...My SA did not ask for the original paperwork, COA back for my first pair of Frivole. Hence, I still have my receipt, COA and packaging from my original Frivole.
My new Frivole earrings came with a new box, travel pouch, COA, etc... like a separate new transaction.

BigA I am so sorry to hear about losing the earring. I hate losing minor things so must be frustrating to lose your favourite earring. At least with adjustments you know exactly what you want. The issue will be VCA executing that as I recall last time it took them a few tries. I was without my earrings for at least 6 months last year when I was getting a diamond replaced. My snake ring is actually the double wrapped one with beads and diamond head and tail. It actually matches VCA items well as it has the perlee look to it. I also have the Cartier Agrafe bracelet in rg with diamonds on my list as it is similar theme. I feel the mop butterfly fits with all my rg pieces well.
I was thinking the mop was durable as it is mixed with other material or at least has processing. I have the impression I can wash my hands with it on. I would need to as I will never remember to remove.
Agree on earrings. The mop looks cutesy. Maybe that is why I have never tried!
Thanks @keodi I believe you can place a SO for it in WG. Currently, VCA only offers the all Guilloche 5-motif as part of its regular offerings.
I am not a fan of 5-motifs in general but this is one of my most worn bracelets ever!

and the reason is the versatility and wearability of white MOP being paired seamlessly with everything! It’s an easy piece to incorporate with any wardrobe Regarding durability, I am careful with my things but not overly so. I have run errands and done Costco runs with my white mop butterfly ring with no issues till now. Holding heavy bags of groceries and wearing the MOP butterfly ring is not something I would recommend but I have (multiple times) and my ring has survived the ordeals 😬
I have forgotten the number of times I have washed my hands wearing the ring and it still sparkles like new. I think it’s the polished surface that makes the white mop more durable in the butterfly BTF ring? That’s what my SA has told me when I got my ring.
My vote to wear the white MOP Butterfly BTF ring with Serpenti RG earrings please! That’s how I usually wear them even though my pave serpenti earrings are in WG! Eyeing the semi-pave RG ones next!

Eternal thanks for feedback on the mop and washing. That is exactly what I was hoping for - that I could forgot to take off when washing hands here and there. I am also wanting the semi pave serpenti earrings in rg. They will match so many pieces and I like a mix of pave and gold. The full pave in wg are gorgeous too. I am sure you have room for both, especially with all you rg pieces. I love seeing your pics as you mix a lot of wg and rg which is my favourite these days.

I am so happy the semi pave serpenti earrings in RG are on your radar too! The serpenti hoops honestly go with everything imo! My usual uniform consists of the pave WG serpenti earrings with a nice watch and ring. And you know I love mixing WG and RG so can’t wait to add the semi pave ones in RG to have more options!
On that note, I have to share a few pics of Serpenti WG and RG combos I tried at the Bvlgari stores a few months back. WG and RG make for perfect mates!
I’m newer to VCA. Only purchased my 1st item about 18 months ago. I’ve been quietly lurking on this thread. Seeing all your posts and from a few others who are active here makes me wonder why I didn’t discover the beauty of VCA many years ago. Such amazing eye candy to look through here!
