Okay, both look gorgeous on you, I can see why it’s hard to decide!
The MOP blends so well with the rest of your stack though, especially with your tennis bracelet, where the blue really pops and gives more contrast. I think the MOP goes better with your current stack and will also look really pretty if you connect the two bracelets to make a choker.
What are you leaning towards more?

It is just shows the sequence they are made in. As with handbags, one can approximate the date they were created based on the beginning of the number. They will not always be in order, since some items may be freshly made while some may take longer to sell. It is just a VCA nerd thing to be interested in
Oh hmm I thought maybe they represented specific years like Hermes date codes, but my 2021 and 2022 HPs are both JCs, so I don’t know what it means.

I’d be curious to know too, even more so now since I couldn’t find much info by googling!

Sorry if I am not explaining well, they do not correspond to one specific year, as the prefix is the same for more than one year, but all from the same era will have the same first 2 letters. So for example, you could tell that an item must be from between XXX date and XXX date if it has the first two letters of BL, JE, JA etc

Ohh, gotcha! Sorry, I misunderstood. Thank you for clarifying!!

I have the hammered one too and contemplating whether to add blue agate or mop …mop won’t be as hard wearing but looks so pretty …

my sa says that guilloche shows a lots of scratches which reduces the shine with time…but it looks really pretty
my SA told me the same
I guess its ok if not worn as a daily piece unless one is ok with the scratches (it kinda grows with you)

i was looking for a daily piece so my SA recommended me the hammered yg piece

Yeah hence the dilemma…I feel like mop is so pretty and classic and would go wth everything …but blue agate gives a fun pop of color and breaks up all the gold ..I wear a lot of blue, greens and blacks so it would work well wth my wardrobe. This is likely gonna b my last piece for a long time as gonna be on ban Island for a while after all my panic purchases due to the price hikes ….the mop is the og one I wanted to buy but my SA convinced me to get hammered gold one instead as my first piece …..and as much as I love it I wanted one wth a stone as I feel those pop more on the wrist …

@BigAkoya thank you - i just love all of your replies.

I totally agree on the vintage vs sweet in terms of presence, and usually steer folks away from the sweet as a baseline. I guess that’s really my main debate here - bc ‘neither’ isn’t on the table anymore haha.

I actually did try on the vintage a few months ago and loved it too. But a little worried it’s more redundant with my TE. I feel like the sweet has a different vibe that’s fun.

But tell me if I’m nuts and should just go VA

I hope you keep the Sweet! I ordered a sweet hammered RG pendant and immediately knew it was too small for me. You clearly like the look and are happy with it. Plus it looks beautiful on you. Keep it and wear it in good health!

Aw thank you! I kept it  and no regrets - it’s been so fun, and a totally different vibe from my TE VA pendant.

Hi!

I have the carnelian and tigers eye combo, MOP yellow gold, onyx/grey MOP/MOP yellow gold combo, and the white gold pave diamond version. I do not have the chalcedony one though I would like to purchase it at some point.

I believe that they have a rose gold pave version in the Middle East (I think they offered to my brother when he was in Dubai) but I may have misunderstood and it might be the magic pendant not the 6 motif. I didn’t pay too much attention bc I had just purchased the pave white gold piece!

I’ve been purchasing/collecting for probably 26 years now crazily enough. My mom introduced me to the brand when I was maybe 19.
Hello lovely, your collection of the 6 motif sounds so impressive. Could I ask you how you would compare the all white mop and the black/ grey/ white version? I’m currently on the brink to make my first 6 motif purchase! As background information, I wear lots of soft or bright colours white/ pink/ blue. I have the 2 motif mop earrings and thought they could make a set with the necklace… thank you so much in advance!

I’d get the blue in that case. It goes well with your clothes, it breaks up the gold and that stone is more durable so you don’t have to worry much about stacking and you’ll have less wear and tear especially if it’s your last piece for a while.

Love that your SA was honest with you.
Yeah I was debating between the diamond/ gold bracelet and the 16 sweet RG necklace. I really like the gold and diamond VCA and been building my collection around that. I was thinking that I’d better get this bracelet before they increase the prices even more since it’s already so expensive.

My apologies, I somehow missed this question! If you wear the colors you mentioned above I would 100% get the all MOP YG 6 motif - it goes with those colors beautifully and is much, much more versatile then the onyx/MOP/GMOP version.

The MOP YG is very elegant to me. I love the onyx version, don’t get me wrong, but it gets zero use during summer and spring (I do not wear dark colors these seasons) and I wear the other year round.

I actually was just at an event last week where someone seated at my table had the two motif MOP earrings on with the 6 motif MOP YG necklace and it was stunning together. I always love having a set first and then working forward towards new sets down the road but that is my little ocd quality!!!
