I have purchased a vintage alhambra pendant 2 weeks ago and left it with the SA to have it extended by two inches. She said it would take two weeks, it’s been two weeks exactly today but I haven’t received any sort of update. Would you recommend just waiting until I hear something back and if I don’t, after how many days would you recommend that I reach out to my SA? Thanks! it’s my first purchase so I’m eagerly waiting to wear it! Haha

2 weeks used to be the standard turnaround time but nowadays it can be 2-3 weeks, sometimes even longer. I sent mine in for adjustment after the holidays and waited 3 weeks to hear back from my SA. I'd suggest you to check with your SA if he/she doesn't reach out after the 3 weeks mark.

my bracelet took approx 4 days to shorten
i told my SA that I had a party and would be eager to wear it
and both the SA and customer service were very helpful to help expedite

when i had to resize it a 2nd time to lengthen it, though there wasnt a hurry
it took approx 4days as well

so I think its ok to contact your SA to check
i’m sure they would be excited for u as well!

I think the turnaround time varies by country. In the US 2 weeks tend to be the norm, as suggested by the SA but since VCA has gotten so popular in the recent years, they’re still in the process of hiring and training more artisans, as well as send out requests to 3rd party vendors to keep up with the demand. But that’s awesome you’ve gotten yours back in under a week, wished that’s the norm in the US

Hi all! I am thinking of getting the Alhambra 5 motif bracelet diamond/ guilloche.
Does anyone own it and has feedback they can share on the wear and tear of the bracelet ? I want to avoid stones as I think they are more delicate and I am looking for something I can wear often. I also have the 5 motif hammered YG bracelet but I don’t plan to wear them stacked. Thank you

I just glanced at the paperwork for a bracelet and realized that we are now in the JFs! I had barely become used to the JDs. I feel like it is January of a new year, when I am still writing the old year by accident for the next month!
Strangely i was in a mood to tidy up all of the invoices and COAs  … I got mine a mix of JDs and JXs for those purchases this year... No JFs so far

What do JFs and JDs represent? Now I want to look at my serials numbers!
It is just shows the sequence they are made in. As with handbags, one can approximate the date they were created based on the beginning of the number. They will not always be in order, since some items may be freshly made while some may take longer to sell. It is just a VCA nerd thing to be interested in :)

I have the hammered one too and contemplating whether to add blue agate or mop …mop won’t be as hard wearing but looks so pretty …

my sa says that guilloche shows a lots of scratches which reduces the shine with time…but it looks really pretty

Are you planning to stack your bracelets if you get another one? I love the blue agate and I think it’s a bit more durable if you worry about MOP being delicate.

I ended up buying it :) what convinced me is understanding that you can’t keep any jewelry in new condition if you wear them. Yes, some materials are more durable but you get my point ;)

Ooh congrats !! Yes you’re right…lol I’d like to stack it against the hammered gold one….I’m not too fussed bout taking it on and off as I wear gold one all the time on other wrist and would stack when going out:smile: but I just can’t decide which looks better ‍
