VA Hammered YG earrings… or not?

Thanks ladies for helping me with my choice last month.. thoroughly enjoying my hammered YG 5M and 10M, so much so I feel like I don’t want my wishlisted guilloche anymore! :giggle:

Now, my SA so kindly reserved the hammered YG earrings to make me a set, I would love to hear your advice on:

1. Will it be too much or too busy to have hammered YG 10M worn with matching earrings?

2. My ears are not pierced, so will only be able to wear this as clip on.. any ladies regularly wearing VA clip earrings without piercing? Not sure if they’d be secure or high risk of losing one or both.. :confused1:

I don’t feel strongly for the earrings.. but then again in life, regrets are of the things we didn’t buy :P:biggrin:
Get it. Since you like your 10 and 5 and these are hard to come by. I would wager money you would like them a lot.

I don't think adding the earrings would be too much, but it doesn't sound like a practical or sensible choice to get the earrings if your ears aren't pierced nor you feel strongly for them. Do you wear clip on earrings at all? I always consider cost per wear and not let FOMO get to me when buying jewelry pieces so that'd be my suggestion for you to consider as well. From what I've read, if you lose an earring you'll have to pay another 60% to get a replacement pair. IMO a necklace and bracelet are good enough as a set.
I would get them. I was just telling your friend how I have the pave yellow gold and was wondering if I should part with my hammered set. I wore the hammered yg earrings for two days and realized they are my favorite pair! They also look really pretty with the Sweet 16 necklace even though the gold color is different, you can't really tell.

I went to the VCA store over the weekend and purchased a vintage Alhambra pendant. I left it with the SA for it to be extended and she said she’ll let me know once it’s ready. She also mentioned that I can either pick it up or have it shipped overnight complimentary, would this come with the complete packaging like the e-boutique box or is it different packaging if I get it mailed? I know that boxes aren’t that important but I like collecting them :P so I was wondering if I would get one. If anyone who purchased in store and then had it shipped to them, please let me know:heart::smile:
I have seen unboxings lately on social media and they all showed delivered with the new box and new packaging. Last month, I bought a pair of earrings and was sent by the boutique with full packaging. I think it’s great that VCA have changed the way they shipped their items from boutiques, it is more luxurious and appropriate for the brand’s image. I remember when I first bought another bracelet sent to me by another boutique, and it looked like an Amazon package (no offense to Amazon) but I was quite disappointed specially after always getting packages from other luxury houses. I think it depends on the boutique tbh.

I received a travel pouch with my lastest purchase this past March. I was surprised, honestly. I think that it depends on inventory levels at each boutique - some have them in stock, and others don't. There are many other places to find a nice jewelry travel pouch, so I don't worry.

I had written this in another thread, but posting here for more visibility.

For the Canadians here, specifically Toronto (since it may differ according to location), how is the packaging?

I just purchased my first VCA piece and it’s arriving in a couple of weeks for me to pick up. In terms of packaging, I guess it’s a white box and a travel pouch? Or the box and perhaps no pouch?

With Cartier, I typically get this red box with the red jewelry box inside, a travel pouch and a cleaning kit. I’m just wondering if we get something similar with VCA too.

Really hope it’s not like the Amazon packaging described by @YEANETT

Ah ok I see! If he’s willing to waive it for you then all the better!
It's been a while but I picked up my pendants today and just wanted to confirm that there was no fee to do a second adjustment. Hopefully this applies across all the boutiques and anyone who isn't satisfied with the initial adjustment can also ask for a second adjustment without issues

I can't confirm if it's standard protocol but when I asked to have my 5 motif shorten, was on the fence between 8 links and 6 links and the SA suggested 6 links. I decided on 8 links but my SA reassure me that if it end up too tight I can bring it back for another adjustment for free.

So my dear wonderful group of stylish collectors with impeccable tastes , I have an update - decided I am getting GMOp rose gold pave!
As I am approaching 50 in 2 years, I changed my life prospective on how I view and plan my big purchases. I used to buy one/ sometimes two “trophies “ a year to reward myself for my hard work and it has served me as a great reminder why I am pushing so hard .
I am a professional , self employed in healthcare and I managed to maintain my two small practices after covid despite all the staff , rising costs, etc issues .

I have decided I will purchase all my “big” ticket items this year so I can enjoy and play with it for years to come while I am still young .
The price increases don‘t help, I end up purchasing what I want anyway just paying more !
I love seeing my jewellery on my wrists so will be carefully selecting 2 more items this year after this one- love pave for sure and several more.

I figured as long as the house is paid off, college funds all set for the kids and the vacation condo paid along with moderate pension - I shall be finally purchasing what I really admire so can wear it now and not ten years later .

it’s a dangerous thinking that can get me in trouble fairly quickly ,
but we live only once, right?
I am so happy I can share my thought processes with this lovely group and get absolutely phenomenal honest feedback!!
I will post my item when it’s here , and big shout out and many thanks to all of you who helped me today with my wonderful dilemma, missie and eternallove4 bags all great pics and all of you wonderful ladies reading this

Hi, hopefully not! I love Cartier as well, but imho, I feel they are more luxurious when it comes to packaging, presentation and details (travel pouches, jewelry cleaner kit) than VCA. I think with Cartier it’s more of a standard when it comes to packaging as per VCA, it depends on the boutique and CA. My latest packaging came with everything inside their new green box, so I think the mistake they made with me was the other specific boutique I mentioned on my previous post.
