My apologies, I somehow missed this question! If you wear the colors you mentioned above I would 100% get the all MOP YG 6 motif - it goes with those colors beautifully and is much, much more versatile then the onyx/MOP/GMOP version.

The MOP YG is very elegant to me. I love the onyx version, don’t get me wrong, but it gets zero use during summer and spring (I do not wear dark colors these seasons) and I wear the other year round.

I actually was just at an event last week where someone seated at my table had the two motif MOP earrings on with the 6 motif MOP YG necklace and it was stunning together. I always love having a set first and then working forward towards new sets down the road but that is my little ocd quality!!!
Thank you so much for your advice and enabling me to go for the all white MOP 6 motif necklace Unfortunately I was told by my SA yesterday it was transferred away & sold the next morning after I saw it! I would have to wait for the next one that’s available! I really should have put a hold on it, just didn’t think 6 motif is the most popular style…Last time it took about 2 months for this to arrive, so hopefully the next one will be faster- would love to wear it with the 2 motif MOP earrings for Mother’s Day events at my children’s schools.

Hey babe! Thanks for the thoughts - totally agree! :hugs: <3

I can't place the age TBH... pic below; it's pretty bright/crisp for most coral I have seen.

I have a coral pendant which I believe is late 80s and to your point, it's... murky if that makes sense? It just doesn't look crisp/clean. This bracelet, however, appears to be quite a bit newer. I'm not entirely sure when the coral Alhambra line ceased so.. hard to say. This specific bracelet seems to have a LOT more pop than my necklace which is kind of peachy and light..

Anyway. The price is for sure a premium so if I am being honest, I'm not sure if I'm just being stupid even considering. :sweatdrop:

Hey gf!!

@nicole0612 is precisely who I was thinking of!! :hugs:

At any rate, I would tend to agree with you that the vintage pieces can be a little *ehem* with the older prongs... to my eye, this particular bracelet has less offensive prongs than some other vintage pieces I have which is nice.

You are SO right about the polish match!!!!
Hi! Well, I just purchased a pair of coral earrings, so of course I say yes! I was thinking $15-20k, and then @BigAkoya echoed that range, but I would probably stop at $20k. It looks good from the photo, I expect from early 2000s, I have the same era in a turquoise piece, it should be after the circular clasp, the first lobster clasp, and the setting is not quite modern but not the older style either with much longer prongs. I am so happy you found this unicorn to go with your gorgeous pendant!

Oh no! I hate when that happens :( Can she find one elsewhere and transfer it in? Also your SA can (or should be able to) ask what’s in the VCA pipeline for pieces being created and scheduled to come to the US soon … if there is one being made for the states you can pay a deposit (or in full - depending on your stores requirements) and secure it so that you get first dibs stateside. I’ve gotten a few hard to get pieces this exact way and they often come sooner rather than later.

First, thanks @jenayb for posting the photo, the stones look great, it is the lobster clasp, but earlier like our fab @nicole0612 stated above, so the prongs aren’t as rounded but also not as stick like as the circular clasps. I do think the coral is gorgeous, and it should look great in any stack, since coral is close to YG and RG. I did a quick search for you and I couldn’t find any coral with more-rounded prongs, so I think this bracelet is as good as it’ll get with coral. Price wise, it’s so personal.

Let us know what you decide hon!

I had to stop and breathe for a second. Lord this is absolutely stunning. The color is perfect and the gold hardware against it just makes it divine! Definitely a show stopper. Can’t help on the price but worth it for sure.

Hi! If you can 100% wear the blue agate often, yes, it adds a nice pop of color. That blue shade though to me is hard to match, and I personally do not like it with navy or black.

That said, I vote MOP. Why?
Yes, the blue agate color pops, but I think it looks busy with your stack. Your stack is already a very busy stack, and I think the MOP goes better with it as it creates a more pleasing flow to the eye. The blue agate takes away from the overall stack theme in my opinion and makes it look like you just added a color, for the sake of adding color. Imagine if that blue agate were just a blue bead bracelet (non-VCA), would you still like that blue on your stack?

With the MOP bracelet, the eye can gently scan across all your bracelets.
With the blue agate bracelet, it screams too much and is a very sharp contrast to your other gold bracelets. I find it detracts from the rest of your stack.

Finally, if one day you decide you are sick of so much stacking and want a cleaner look (and you will, promise), I think the MOP and hammered gold go beautifully together. It's very elegant and timeless.

MOP also just makes the skin glow. The iridescence is beautiful.
Just my two cents for another point of view. Hope that helps.
Thanks I didn’t think of it like that …was thinking of iconic pieces I would regret not owning …..you made some excellent points lol am so confused…as I love look of both but you are right Vca mop is stunning. Also it’s the original one that I wanted when I first started looking at Vca….but then got side tracked bout durable stones

On durability, tons of people have MOP, including me, and it’s durable. I have heard issues with blue agate cracking rather than any major issues with MOP.

Blue agate is translucent (you can see through it), so the color changes slightly against your skin and light. MOP is opaque (you cannot see through it), and the iridescence is always there, regardless of the background environment. Just some other thoughts to help you decide.

MOP is used so often in VCA pieces, so I would not worry. I personally would buy the piece you love and not what is “safe.”

Alhambra YG MOP to me is the iconic VCA stone and metal combination, so gorgeous. Since MOP was first on your list and still is, I would go for MOP.

Don’t get me wrong. I think blue agate is gorgeous and it pops, but I am not a fan of it against your stack for everyday for the reasons I stated earlier. I also think if you are only getting one more bracelet, MOP is the iconic classic and goes much better with your stack or just worn alone or with your hammered gold.

Hope this helps a bit more. Good luck deciding and congrats on your soon to be new bracelet!

Your earrings sound fabulous! Mod shot if you don’t mind, but understand if not.

Congrats on the earrings!

@jenayb that color though :loveeyes:
Reminds me of @BigAkoya fave H nail polish color - orange boite. Yummy and eye catching!
