I know this question was for BigAkoya and I’m certain she will offer you a well thought out excellent answer but for what’s it’s worth I’m partial to the six motif magic - I have five versions of it and get the most use out of them compared to all my pendants, 10 motifs and 20 motifs, etc. I think the design is unusual and special - elegant but a little different. I also love the Alhambra piece at the clasp - it is a nice addition, especially if your hair is up and you wear something where it can be seen.
Thank you! Wow 5 versions! That is amazing.

I recounted that in my head just now bc I’m like that does seem like a lot - I have four! Not five. The black onyx w/ mother of Pearl was my first and I still think it’s my favorite - I wear it the most. I have quite a few straight onyx VCA pieces but they don’t get much use … I think the combo of the onyx/mother of Pearl softens the onyx (I don’t wear much that isn’t colorful so black isn’t a go to for my wardrobe).

Anyhow, if you’re thinking about one of them I strongly recommend … but I am totally biased!

I only know of 4, is this what you have from this line? The all-pave must be stunning! Unless you did a SO (which I was also considering with all-onyx or all-malachite) which would also be stunning!
Onyx/GMOP/MOP in YG
Chalcedony/GMOp/MOP in WG
All MOP in YG
All Pave in WG

Hi!

I have the carnelian and tigers eye combo, MOP yellow gold, onyx/grey MOP/MOP yellow gold combo, and the white gold pave diamond version. I do not have the chalcedony one though I would like to purchase it at some point.

I believe that they have a rose gold pave version in the Middle East (I think they offered to my brother when he was in Dubai) but I may have misunderstood and it might be the magic pendant not the 6 motif. I didn’t pay too much attention bc I had just purchased the pave white gold piece!

I’ve been purchasing/collecting for probably 26 years now crazily enough. My mom introduced me to the brand when I was maybe 19.

I love the diversity of the stones in your various 6 motifs, they all are quite different! I am laughing that I didn't think of the Carnelian/TE combo because as I was writing out that mental list I went back to check the MTO options, thinking of the Carnelian/TE combo and seeing if my memory is correct that all-carnelian is available as MTO but TE is not. That is the case, but I really want a TE necklace in the magic size!

The PG pave magic sounds gorgeous if that is a ME exclusive! I love to hear about different regional exclusives and discontinued items.

You have been collecting for such a long time; I am so glad that this allowed you to add some truly special and discontinued pieces to your collection!

I have the WG chalcedony mop gmop one but never worn it outside the house and just tried on in the house. To me it feels like a special occasion piece and so looking forward to wearing at upcoming weddings. The TE carnelian sounds dreamy.

What do you think about the 6 motif magic? Too busy or better?
I like the 6 motif much better than the 11 motif. The 6 motif is more like an open bib necklace. Bib necklaces look great laying against skin. I'm not a fan of wearing the 6 motif over a round or crewneck top, as I think the neckline competes with the necklace and looks messy. That's just me.

I think the 6 motif looks best with big open necklines, deep v-necks, collared shirts.

For a chic casual summer look, aside from wearing it with an open neckline top, I like it with summer tunics.
To me, the 6 motif is an eclectic & romantic piece. It looks great with a tunic top for that flowy, romantic bohemian theme.
It creates kind of that carefree Marrakech vibe.

The 6 motif necklace really has to fit your fashion style.
As beautiful as it is, the 6 motif definitely does not fit my fashion style. I dress either super conservative for work (suits) or super casual after hours (striped tees), and I think the 6 motif doers not look good with either a jacket (wrong look) or a tee (too busy). I think a 20 looks great with a suit or a striped tee.

So think about your fashion look. See if the 6 motif fits your fashion look because no matter how gorgeous a piece is, if it does not work with your wardrobe, I would skip it.

Just my two cents for what it's worth. Hope that helps.

Hi Everyone,
I am pretty much new in the luxury world and I am considering buying a sweet Alhambra pendant. This will be my first purchase.
I don't have VCA where I am so I will have to order online. Do you recommend ordering online, or going to the boutique?
I bought a sweet alhambra pendant last year and it was my first VCA. I fell in love! I purchased online and all went well. I'm hoping to buy a sweet alhambra bracelet soon online as well :)

Don't save it for a wedding... that's too limited! Wear it casual, enjoy it!

I'm not sure of your style, but grab yourself a tunic top and wear it in the summer! Or, if tunic tops are not your thing (I love them fashion-wise, but they are not my personal fashion look), grab yourself a nice cotton poplin shirt and toss on that necklace!

The WG chalecedony 6 motif is gorgeous! It will look great with a cotton poplin shirt and wide straight-leg jeans!

Great ideas for wearing it!! I do wear tunics and white shirts and wide and straight leg jeans so will try them out this spring and summer.

I agree. It is great for a special occasions for sure, but it is so much more wearable than you think! Day to day during winter I live in jeans, some type of casual top, and accessories (my nephews call it the “auntie wardrobe”). I wear the 6 motifs with that outfit year round except during the summer when I trade in my jeans for jean shorts (ha ha ha) tanks, some version of a bright cabat bag (another addiction), and VCA.

I bet the day you finally wear it outside you’ll get a zillion compliments on it! It’s gorgeous! Congrats on such a beautiful piece.

I love jeans shorts too! I like the Bermuda shorts length, especially white jeans shorts which I live in during the summer (with a striped tee... I love striped tees!)

I also love red Bermuda jean shorts in the summer, but they are impossible to find. One thing I did this year to refresh my red Bermuda jean shorts inventory is buy regular long jeans and had my tailor cut them to make them red Bermuda jeans shorts! Works great!

If you like red Bermuda jean shorts, Mother makes three different styles of red jeans now which you can cut short. There are two different shades of red. I love them both as they are very different. Just FYI to share since you are also a jeans lover. :hugs::heart:

I love Mother and Moussy. Moussy has the perfect high waist for me - I feel like so many high waisted shorts/jeans look awful on my body bc I’m tall (5’8.5) but I’m all torso. I like a cool top, flat shoes, accessories (always oversized bag - two small kids and lots of STUFF), and I’m off to the races.

Haven’t tried the red yet. I like this idea. Online shopping I go … (you are costing me a lot of money between out of print books and now clothing ha ha ha).
