I recently came across a lightly used medium Iside at a great price. While it is a lovely bag, I'm skeptical of one thing- the width measurement is 10" or 25.5 cm, not 10.24" or 26 cm as specified everywhere I can find. I've tried different tape measures and rulers, as well as (delicately) maneuvering the bag every way I can think of to get that extra 0.24" or 0.5 cm but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Can anyone advise if the bag's dimensions have changed over time, or would anyone be willing to measure the width of their Iside medium to see what their measurement is? Every other detail of the bag seems to check out so I'm really not sure what to think!

Attaching photo of said bag with ruler :)

I don't think the dimension has ever changed. Mine is from a while ago. It's definitely over 10". It's up to you but I wouldn't get it if there's anything off about it. It could be the picture quality issue but the edging details on the bag in the picture doesn't look clean. I have about 6 Valextra bags. All the edges are perfect. I always had good experience with their customer service. How about contacting the customer service about it?IMG_6106.jpeg

Thank you! I've decided to return the bag to the seller, per eBay's policy, but it kills me that this inauthentic bag will still be out there :(

I’ve been enjoying my Triennale a bit more this autumn/winter season… I love how sleek it is, so low key, no visible branding, and the smooth leather is so luxurious to the touch (yet delicate 😅)… I’m still puzzled why they discontinued this style, it’s so timeless and chic. A better alternative to Birkin than their new “Milano” style, a Birkin lookalike 😅

How do Valextras look as they age? Would love to see those that are already several years old, or even vintage beauties
Thanks for all the photos you all have shared so far. How beautiful. I feel happy on your behalf 😃

I adore the designs and the details... The leather looks exquisite too. From what I understand, the Millepunte leather has a relatively heavier finishing on the leather, which is more protective in the short term, but also I do not know what to expect as it wears in the long term (unlike vege-tanned or aniline leather with thin finishing that will develop patina, perhaps with a natural or rustic feel to them). Now there's also the Palmellato leather but only for limited designs.

I have several Valextra bags, my Iside in smooth calfskin is the oldest, like 3 years of wear I think, I got it in 2021, I bought it already with some tiny scratches on both the leather and the hardware (at least I didn’t have to baby it), the leather ages beautifully despite the scratches, the only thing I’m considering doing is replacing the front panel on the lock (it has some scratches, and I need to check with Valextra’s customer service if they’ll be able to replace it), cause the model I got had just plain metal part, not covered with leather or anything. No corner wear or handle wear on the bag, or any issue with the shoulder strap so far! Another older bag I have for over 2 years is micro Brera in Millepunte leather, maybe given its size it didn’t had any corner wear, given it doesn’t bump into things or anything. These two I’ve used the most for now, the other Valextra bags had way less wear than these two. Still all holding up beautifully… I really think the quality and the craftsmanship is amazing!

Palmellato I don’t think I have seen IRL yet, would love to check it out and compare it to other leathers!

Thank you for taking the time to share such details! I went to see the bags in person in New York but they don’t have those with Palmellato leather. There’s a small but beautiful selection. I’ll report back if I ever see Palmellato in-person someday.

I wonder, does the Valextra Outlet in Milan accept orders from abroad? Has anyone tried that before? Can we call or WhatsApp or do they have a direct email?

Very new to this and so grateful for the wealth of information in this forum.
