Got small Iside in this bright coral color for summer
Hello @coffee2go!

Can I ask if your Iside is in the Papavero colour? And would you mind sharing more photos of the bag under natural light?

I would like to add a red Valextra Micro Iside to my bag collection but am undecided between their different beautiful tones of Red. I do know that I want a warmer red, i.e. it should have more yellow/orange rather than blue undertones.

Right now, it seems like a toss-up between Love Red and Papavero. There are no Valextra stores where I’m located, so I cannot check out the colours in-person.

Thanks in advance, and I hope I’m not taking up too much of your time!

Hi everyone!
I’m super new to this but have just come across Valextra and have been increasingly attracted to their brand.
I’m actually purchasing a luxury bag for the first time so am looking to optimize my purchase.

I was seriously considering the small Lady Dior before I stumbled upon the Iside Mini so was wondering if anyone owns both and could give a comparison for advice pls?
For context, I want a versatile bag that I can dress up and down with to maximize my use.

I would also like to find out if anyone has the Nolo and able to give some reviews? I’m drawn to its ability to be carried on the shoulder and as a crossbody.

ALSO, what do yall think about getting them second hand? I’m thinking of hunting for them in Japan. If anyone has the premium outlet contact in Milan I would be most grateful ☺️

Really appreciate all the help I can get here since we don’t have any Valextra here where I am.

Hello!

I own the MyABC Lady Dior (Small) in Fard. It’s definitely a dressier bag and the lambskin - while much sturdier than Chanel’s - means I prefer to save it for special occasions. I would definitely not carry it if I were to utilise public transport, although I’ve seen people do so using the detachable strap. That said, I AM precious about my bags - so do take this with a pinch of salt.

I don’t own an Iside at the moment, but it’s the next bag I plan to buy. I’ve seen it at an official retailer (there are no Valextra stores where I am either). The grained leather makes it much more wearable for daily use, in my opinion - and depending on what size/colour you get, it can definitely be used from day to night. There are a couple of reviews/feedback on this thread you may wish to search on wearability, but the Mini feels like the most versatile size thus far.

I bought the mini NoLo in Cipria via Farfetch during a sale, but returned it as the hardware had some visible scratches. It was the last piece available and I wasn’t able to make an exchange - though I doubt I would have kept it in the end even if I could.

The design is beautiful and I love that it can be worn two ways. BUT the Mini felt too small for me, not so much in terms of capacity but looks - mine was a lighter colour, so it looked lost in such a small size. I tried the Medium at the retailer, and wasn’t too fond of the gussets at the side. Perhaps I would get a Mini in a brighter colour at some point; who knows?

If wearing the bag multiple ways is important to you, the Iside has a detachable AND adjustable strap, which gives you the option of wearing it three ways. It’s Valextra’s most classic style, which is also why I have decided to make this my next purchase instead of the NoLo.

Just my two cents worth; hope this helps!

Does anyone know how to unbuckle the adjustable strap on the hobo weekend large bag? I bought one and can’t figure it out. I want to wear it as a crossbody. Any advice would be great. My photo size is too big so I’m using a stock photo instead. TIA!

Mine is in Papavero I think, it’s more coral than red, not sure about the undertone but it pairs really well with my bright blue jacket, contrasting colors

oooh beautiful color! Is this the mini or micro? I'm deciding between the two sizes. I like to carry the essentials--iphone 14 pro, lipstick, keys, sunglasses, and wallet.

Thank you so much, @coffee2go! Your bag is beautiful and goes beautifully with your jacket. I love contrasting colours and colour blocks too. 😍

I think, having seen your photos too, that I am more likely to go with a true red shade instead of the coral tone. Much appreciate the help!

@iggybedora - Like you, I was torn between the micro and mini - but I’ve decided to go with the micro. The mini looks too formal and workbag-like for my short frame (I’m 5 ft 1) and I prefer a more whimsical look. The micro carries quite a lot too due to its depth - although you might not be able to fit a long wallet in.

For my body frame I like mini size most, also I think the proportions of the mini are much better, making it versatile both for day and night… I can easily fit my powerbank, sunglasses, cardholder, coin purse, beauty pouch, keys and have even a tiny umbrella in a mini Iside

The flat portion of the clasp slides backwards :) I actually forgot how to adjust mine and reached out to Valextra directly; they kindly sent me a video of the SA demonstrating how to adjust the strap. Enjoy your hobo! It's one of my favorite bags.

I think I will never pass on a smooth Valextra for the right price. I love the leather soooooo much. The color (do you know what it's called?) is gorgeous.

A totally personal problem, now I have 4 blue bags, which is kind of ridiculous. 3 are Valextras and I'm not parting with them, and one is probably the only Moynat I'll ever own, so cannot get rid of that either. They are different shades of blue, but still, a surprising choice for someone who always thought she didn't care much for blue bags. Ha.

I cannot believe how lightweight this bag is. Holy cow! Even with my items in it, it's like it wasn't even on my shoulder.

But here's what made me go "hmmmmm" about this bag. I kind of feel like the opening is a little tight. Small? Tight? I'm not sure the right word. Maybe due to newness and maybe I am being too precious. And I am surprised my LV toiletry pouch 19 takes up as much room as it does in there. It isn't as easy as I wish to see/grab my things. Removing the TP 19 and not storing the shoulder strap inside will make a big difference. The Brera is not all that much larger, but fits a ton (though is a little bulky).

Again, maybe I was being too careful. I'll fool around with it later.

If it were up to me, I'd size a bag exactly between the two and it would be bag perfection.
