I finally had a chance to see some Valextra bags in person after a visit to their London boutique while on vacation. I was extremely impressed with the bags. While the leather has the appearance of epsom, it's much softer to a squeeze yet bounces back to shape when released. The hardware is the best I've seen on any bags - both functional and elegant. The signature black edge painting is top notch.
I was most interested in their Brera bag and glasses cases, so I had a chance to try them out. I found the mini Brera a little smaller than I wanted. I wish they made a size in between small and medium that could be worn crossbody. I was torn between the glasses case and the one with a lanyard, so I'll be thinking about this and making a purchase online later.
All in all, I am surprised this brand doesn't get more love from the purse community. Terrific bags, great colour options, easy to buy online, and they have stock in store. While I walked out empty handed, I was super impressed. From the 20 or so bags I looked at in store, this company doesn't take a backseat to anyone in terms of quality.
