Can anyone compare the Brera and the Triennale?
I can, but I have Triennale in Medium and Brera in micro. In medium sizes, they’re pretty similar, but I like Triennale cause it’s more sleek design, the Brera in medium has a front clasp and a front compartment that wouldn’t be as functional to me as you can store just flat, not too bulky items there. Brera doesn’t have zip compartment, while Triennale has one, security-wise I prefer a zip compartment and Triennale has one large zip compartment that easily fits my cardholder and passport. Brera has one top handle, while Triennale has two, but Triennale has non-adjustable wide shoulder strap which is great and seats on my shoulder nicely. Brera even in bigger sizes has thinner shoulder straps, it’s ok on my micro Brera, but for the larger bag I prefer to have a wider strap. Also the flap part on Brera is ok on micro size for me, but would be a bit annoying for me on bigger size, even if it’s magnetic. I’m 100% Triennale fan between the two, even though both styles work for me, I just have different sizes.

Anyone see the new Milano bag in person? Seems like an interesting piece.

I saw it IRL, honestly I don’t like it, too big, too bulky, too Birkin-inspired, the belt/clasps are totally unnecessary just like Birkin’s ones are. In bigger sizes the bag can get easily heavy if you put all your essentials. I prefer more original sleek designs from Valextra like Iside and Triennale, not a fan of their latest launches: Nolo and Milano bags

Thanks for the honest review and pictures. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the unnecessary belts and clasps either. I've not seen the Triennale before, but a quick online search shows a nice looking and simple tote bag. It has everything I'd want, and nothing that I don't.

I think you can find the exact same one on Yoox right now, it’s 1300€
I looked hard at that and almost bought it. Instead, I went for the Brera. It is not in hand yet, so no opinion.

I think it will be a little bigger than my medium S Series so am a little worried it will be kind of big for me. We’ll see.

I first saw the Trinnelle on TRR. It was white and $400. That was a bag that got away!

Maybe if I can sell a few bags, I’ll try to find a Trinnelle and live in purse peace.

Thanks for the excellent comparison!

I can, but I have Triennale in Medium and Brera in micro...
Well heck, I'm not sure what to think.

The Brera in medium arrived. It is a beautiful shade of brown. I love it, and also love the color of your Triennale. Valextra smooth leather is absolutely gorgeous. However, I think both are too big for me. I cannot decide if I should keep the very large (medium) Brera or swap it for the Triennale, which is thinner but taller. Each is so much bag!

I think I would like the small Brera, but does it fit a normal size smart phone? I am concerned about the narrow opening.

The Goldilocks size is missing.

I might keep the brown Brera because the leather and color make me swoon. Maybe, i'll be back on larger bags soon.

For grins, I dropped into LV with the Brera to compare it to the Capucines BB (similar size) and to look at the Cap in mini. FWIW, I strongly prefer the Brera to the Capucines. It is, alas, WIDER than the Cap BB, but otherwise about the same size. It is lighter and more functional for me as I do not care for a center divider. I also think the leather is just more luxurious.

The Cap mini was adorable, but I could not get my phone into it. That's a big no for me. Both the Cap BB and mini felt to me like a lot of bag, but not a lot of space. I love LV, but the Cap doesn't do it for me.

Not near my closet, so no photos for now. I will try soon.

Are all Valextra bags unlined now? I'm shocked, they all used to be leather-lined
I bought 3 Valextra bags in early Dec 2023: Iside mini; Iside medium; Bowling bag. The Isides are leather lined as always. The Bowling, a large (45 cm) travel tote is canvas lined as leather would make it too heavy. Hope this helps.
