So this is spring/summer 2000. It's difficult to see the bags, at the time nobody did close-ups, but still the pictures will give you an idea of what this season's bags looked like.

Most bags were small, and some had some sort of fringe over theme.
  3. For fall/winter 2000 bags were simple. Some were made of fur.

  4. Spring/summer 2001 included satin pleated evening bags and embellished mini-bags.

  5. Feathers, beads and round-shaped handles embellished evening bags. Also some totes included the "V" medallion (something the brand does not use anymore)

  7. If anyone could get away with such feminine details it was Valentino. Feather, fringe, beads, embroidery, floral appliques - you name it, this collection had it.

    Finally close-up pictures!

  9. Fall/winter 2002 included some beading, suede, the oval-shaped handle/embellishment and lots of gold metalic leathers (snakeskin and nappa).

  11. Lots of bags in black, white and rich cognac, some flaps, satchels and hobos. For the evening, feathers.
The embellishment of the season? Fringe!

  13. Evening bags even for daytime made from fur, satin and leather. Embroidery, beading and for the first time laser-cut leather that mimics lace.

  14. Butterflies? Check. Gorgeous exotic skins? Check. Embroidery? Check. Swarovski incrusted signature logo in the first bags from the catch line? Check! Yeah... letimotivs were there, but the most exiting was the inclusion of that iconic logo we all know and love, and that has been reinterpreted numerous times. For the second half of 2004? Incrusted with crystals, no less.
