ame, i'm so sorry to hear what you're going through, i too am insanely picky just like you, and you don't need to feel bad about being that way.

my best advice to you is just to have vatche send the ring and stone back to you, screw them and their work, don't let them fix anything anymore, you have lost faith in them and there is no way you should keep going with them.

have your jeweler make a cad for you and discuss your preferences until you are 10000% happy, then he can cast your ring. I think this is the best way for your personal happiness as anything that is completely hand crafted WILL show signs of finish no matter how amazing it is. hand craft is hand craft. Cad + Cast will look machine made and flawless. and you get to preview the ring on the computer beforehand to make any slightest adjustments however many times needed, until your final approval, no faith needed.

i bet you are also picky on your manicure because so am i! i actually went to college in Philly (majored in photography and architecture so as you can see how i am a perfectionist and expect nothing less just like you)... the only nail place i could stand was Rittenhouse Nails, done by one specific manicurist (forgot her name)... then i moved to NYC and panicked over dozens of nail places until i found THE girl who could do it perfectly for me...

i hope for the very best for you and hope that every single thing about the ring will work out perfectly for you, with a very very happy ending soon !

This is actually the backup plan. If it's not here today, I told the jeweler this is what I want to do. So we shall see.

I am, very much so, though I RARELY do nails/manis. I was doing OPI Axxium over the summer but I needed a fill badly within a little over a week and that was getting prohibitive. I decided I am waiting til I get my ring. I might actually wait til Monday, after I've packed everything so I don't trash it.

I'm so envious that you ladies can maintain a manicure. I'm so hard on my hands that polish chips right off within 30 minutes of me getting it put on and I break my nails all the time. :( I used to wear tips but that got expensive.

So ame, when are they supposed to have your ring to you this morning?!

Assuming they actually shipped it, he said he expects a morning delivery.

I don't usually do nails. I did that Axxium because it didn't end up chipping. Which I couldn't believe because I can't get more than 2 hours out of polish before it lifts and peels off.

Yep. He's called AND emailed more than once. But I did tell him that if it's not coming today that he better be getting my stone tomorrow, and he better tell them that.

I am trying to stay positive but I am gone now. I really am. There's no consolation, I don't want to hear another word from them, I just want my stone back. If I get a ring today great, but Im not expecting it now.

They didn't send him any, which as far as we're concerned means that they didn't ship it.

But I am done. I don't want it anymore. It's ruined. I want my stone back, Im putting it in the safe I think, and walking away.

Here is the e-mail I got back from Vatche. It does sound legit because I have had this happen to me on several occasions, and he knows that everything on the ring must be perfect. I will do whatever you ask of me, but I think it is the same result for tomorrow if they pull it out of the ring or send me the finished product, and I know you love the look, you are just frustrated. It is my best advice to allow them to send it mounted. If you don't like it, I'll pull out the center just as if they had sent that back to me, but it might be perfect. This way you get the benefit of deciding which way you want to go. I thought if it is okay with you. I would send him an e-mail back explaining that I cannot have it not go for Saturday delivery, and they must send me a tracking number tonight so I can be looking for it. I will explain that you have already told me to forget the whole job, and I convinced you to give it this last shot. But if it does not come through, you are going to go postal on both him and I. What do you think ??

I am out and my office just forwarded your email to me. I have to apologize when we were finishing the ring last night the center loosened up and the setter had already left for the day. I was unaware that this had happened. Your ring will be shipped today for tomorrow delivery. Email me if you need to contact me further. I will not be back to office until later today.

You have got to be kidding me.... They are so full of it. I am seriously so angry right now I can't even speak.

The finished ring with my stone or my stone by itself must be here tomorrow. I am bordering on finding out what legal recourse I have at this point. I doubt I have any, but I am so done. One way or the other it's shipping here TODAY. He better go in and make sure of it. No excuses, Drop Dead is TOMORROW. Not Monday, TOMORROW. Period. It either has to be the whole ring PERFECT or the diamond. Make sure he knows I am over it and I don't want it anymore and that you're trying to save his ass by telling me tomorrow. I am going to have to cancel a bridal meeting tomorrow to get over there because I had them back to back all day. So now he's cost me time AND a possibly client for cancelling last minute. He might have to cut more off HIS price to you at this juncture. I guess we can also make sure he made it in Plat at this stage too. And we need a shipping confirmation sent to you. Absolutely.

I also want them to know that they have RUINED THIS FOR ME. I want them to know. They have RUINED IT. I am no longer excited to wear their product. I will accept it if it's PERFECT but it has got to ship TODAY. NO EXCEPTIONS.

I am disgusted by their lack of professionalism, and their supposed reputation is BS as far as I am concerned. I am damned either way, frankly. I should have just had you copy it. We'd be done, I'd be happy, and I wouldn't be sick to my stomach all the time. I am pretty convinced that they were lying and putting it off because they damaged my stone or just never made it. But I don't give a **** what their latest excuse is. I want the ring or my stone TOMORROW. They should hand deliver it to me for chrissake.

Much too long of a response. I don't think Vatche gives a damn that you're upset.

And what's with the "Jeweller Dude"??? I would NEVER order from Vatche based on them calling someone 'DUDE' WTF?

I'd have said,

"I would like my ring couriered to me IMMEDIATELY or I'm taking legal action"
