Is it Vatche that's lying??
I am pretty sure that it is.

I just spoke with the jeweler for about 15 more minutes. He called me after he spoke with Vatche's C.O.O. for a while trying to get answers and explaining that this is a big deal, and that we are on a serious deadline now with the holiday and travelling already booked. The C.O.O. told my jeweler that they sent it back through the shop because something in my explicit directives was not done exactly as requested, probably the shank width, and they were fixing it. He planned on having it in our hands Friday. The jeweler said if that's not going to happen to overnight us the original ring and my stone for Saturday delivery. Drop Dead date is Saturday. I am going out of town Monday, must be here. If they can't do it, we'll cancel the order, and Ill have him custom make it to match to a thinner width where I can keep my 2mm plain band and not sweat making a new plain band, plus I can rework my diamond band to work better as needed.

Either way. I am pissed, he is pissed, and if I don't have my ring on Friday, I will have A ring before I leave, and Ill go from there. I am pretty spent. I really wanted this to work out, and I learned a lesson.

I am pretty angry and very upset.
 
Yknow what, everyone tells me "oh they're awesome, oh they'll be perfect, oh they will meet their deadline" and "be positive itll be fine", It's NEVER fine. Ever. I have not one single time EVER had a good jewelry experience besides picking out and playing with my new diamond. I am pissed. I am really upset. And I have no faith at all in them coming through at this stage.

All I know is that if it's not here friday, my old ring and diamond better be here saturday.
 
I don't know what to tell you Ame. It's disappointing, as here you think you've chosen wisely, meanwhile, it's a nightmare.

And I can't tell you that you get what you pay for b/c you've had a disaster where Tiffany's is concerned as well.

I'm at a loss as to what to suggest at this point. Unless you're willing and able to dish out extra $$$ to work with some neurotic artist.
 
If the vatche isn't done right and by this weekend, I will just maybe have this jeweler make a custom knock off. We have all the specifications, he can cad it and have it cast for me. That's the backup plan. He'll get my ring or diamond back from Vatche and put it in a temp for now while he cads the other one. Im not spending another cent above what we've paid for this Vatche.

I don't trust Tiffany and I don't consider them worth a penny let alone what people pay for them. I know that is a harsh statement that is not widely loved here. But that's how I feel. They are all marketing hype.

I just don't get it. What did I do that jinxed me in the jewelry world.
 
ame, I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles with Vatche. I would be beyond mad, and demand my ring be returned ASAP. I would not even give them until Friday/Saturday. I hope it will all work out for you. Sending you good jewelry vibes.:hugs:
 
There was no way either piece would ship out til tomorrow anyway, it was already after hours.

Either way...I am exhausted.

I know that I am probably totally overreacting over a piece of friggin jewelry, a luxury, a material good. But it's a LOT of money.
 
Ame, I'm so disappointed for you. I really thought things would be different this time because Vatche has such a good reputation. I wonder if anyone else has had these problems with them? You're doing the right thing by asking them to send it back, though.
