Things are still slowing down on such platforms as Facebook. Hardly any bags sell unless they are a steal. Mini Kelly’s in classic colors sit at 20-21k and lesser colors as low as 16k. B25s can regularly be found for under 15k in excellent condition and 19-20k in classic colors BNIB. Now is not a good time to be a reseller…
I noticed the same thing with mini Kelly’s in particular. One MK I’ve been looking at has dropped 16k in price. I wonder if this is the new norm with the economy + smaller bags losing their momentum in the trends?

Colors like red, pink, orange have really gone down in price even excellent to like new condition ones.
I see classic neutrals holding their value well !

As always with CS I encourage negotiating price and if possible making an appt to view in person.
I did not know you could negotiate the price at CS! The only time I bought something from them I asked if I could negotiate and was told pricing was non-negotiable as they already fixed the net price for the seller. Granted, it was for an item that cost less than 1k, so perhaps the margin was narrower.

I find CS's prices pretty steep: that HAC and that Kelly, both devine and exactly my kind of bags, but 25/30 year old bags are not worth those prices, JMHO of course. I've never bought from them, only sold and not bags but watches and jewelry.

On the other hand Sandia's Bolide is a fair price. I would seriously think about it if it was in the EU.

I don't want to veer OT too long as this belongs in the reseller thread, but CS prices are always inflated and often negotiable. It depends on how long they've had the bag.
That Bolide is a treasure actually. I just do NOT need any more bags lol ;-)

I just had a very good experience making a purchase from MyChanelCloset on IG. The bag (Birkin 35 in Vert Veronese) is even better than I imagined, and she was prompt to answer questions and ship. The bag has been authenticated x2, including by Bababebi. I love the neutral green with PHW!

I love Fashionphile. TheRealReal is okay. I bought from Rebag once and honestly, I do not trust them.
Curious about your Rebag experience. I see a lot of complaints about them on here and Youtube. TRR and Rebags Birkins are sooooo competitively priced compared to others - but I don't want to deal with the headache of inconsistent authenticity reports.

Rebag took 10 seconds to take my money, but afterwards, asked for proof of address (bank statement),and copies of both side of my NYS driver's license. I felt violated but thought that it was done for my protection, so I brushed it off. 10 days later, still no shipment confirmation. They are based in NYC (I live here) so I know shipping is supposed to be fast. After emailing them twice, I got no response. I tried calling and waiting (1.5hr +)through their automated system, just to be hung up on all three times. I finally received shipment information after leaving a bad review on Trustpilot (I rarely leave bad reviews). The bag came in a day, as it should, because like it said, we are in the same city. The bag quality was not great, not horrible. It was okay for the price, I guess. However, the whole process left a bad taste. I will not be buying from them again.

Wow. Thank you for sharing. That sounds like a complete headache. Did they explain why they needed proof of address and license? That is just So odd.

I would really like some advice, or discussion on this topic, as I feel like I am being blackmailed.

I bought an H handbag from Vestiaire Collective, authentication by their team included. Sellers description said Vert Comics, the bag I received was in Menthe, including a receipt from H saying “Menthe”.

I was upset but politely contacted the customer service and opened a case for a refund as I bought a brand new bag in VC and wanted what I paid for, not a bag in Menthe, even though it’s a nice color. The pictures in the website showed the bag in different lighting and it was really hard to tell the true color.

I had to wait several days for a response. Got an email that said that this was a tough case for them, but that they will get back to me asap.

After sleeping on the matter I offered to keep the bag, even though it was not what I ordered, if the seller could show some goodwill on the price. No answer to that.

When I finally received a proper response the “solution” was that I send the bag back to Vestiaire C, and they would refund my money AND DESTROY THE HANDBAG.

It’s a beautiful bag, brand new, nothing wrong with it except that the seller obviously confused the colors and didn’t read the receipt.

I’m starting to feel bad, and think this is frankly a crazy solution - normally you compromise on the price or just take the piece back for a refund.

Maybe I am being silly, but as a long time collector and passionate lover of H handcraft I don’t think it’s fair to destroy things, just because of a color confusion. It’s not sustainable either.

Should I keep it, bite in the sour apple, or send the bag to death?
