Trusted Hermes Reseller Discussion Thread

If this question has already been answered, apologies, but I'm wondering if anyone has any recent experience with buying a Birkin from Brandear on eBay. (I've bought some LV bags and Hermes scarves from Japan Monoshare and one bag, a Massai, from Brandoff--but nothing from Brandear.). My specific question: they consider best offers; I'm wondering what would be a reasonable best offer for a Bronze Togo Birkin that looks like it's in very good shape that they've listed for 10K. I'm also wondering if I'll definitely (or possibly, or won't) have to pay additional costs (import taxes) on top of the price we'd agree on. I'd be grateful for any advice here--thank you!
Never brought from a Japanese seller but Here in the UK I have been charged 20% import tax from an overseas seller
I would always work on the assumption that import taxes would be charged

I bought two bags from them recently but I didn't negotiate the price. They seem to be part of the reseller crowd that work with a pool of bags that they don't physically have immediate access to, and may be available for sale on other platforms.
eBay best offers are automated, and this is a volume seller, so unless you message them, they probably have a set threshold below which an offer won't be considered.
FWIW the bags I bought were as described; I'd say I probably should have blown up the photos of the damage and staining on one of the bags and I would not have been surprised at its condition; however it was returnable and they were fine with the return. The other bag I bought after this return and very happily kept.

Taxes/duties: OT for this thread I think but it really depends on the country you're importing into 🤷‍♂️
Thank you!

Hi Guys - it's my FIRST TIME on purseforum - literally starting my obsession with Hermes bags this year! I'm finally in a very sweet financial spot to be able to afford Hermes bags & I went the reseller route because I think I'd ideally like one Constance 18, one mini Kelly (or Kelly pochette), & one Birkin 25 (I have a small frame so mini bags are the best for me).

I recently purchased my Constance 18 (Noir with Gold Hardware - fresh from the boutique with plastic on hardware & subsequent receipt) from an Instagram reseller! Her name account is @kellyannluxury! She supplies to A LOT of influencers & is VERY VERY responsive. She also has a lot of stock in Birkin's, Kelly's, & Constance's as well as, Chanel bags. Also, her prices are very FAIR, she supplies all the photos before she finalizes the purchase, so that you can see EXACTLY what your bag will look like! So she's fantastic if anyone is interested!

There is also another guy @amgluxuryshop who is also selling authentic Hermes & Chanel bags (accessories) - he is also very fair in pricing & always gives top-notch service! He is also someone who supplies to very big influencers (who obviously do their own due diligence when they get the bag)!

I will put my Hermes/Chanel resellers who I KNOW supply authentic bags below:
@kellyannluxury -- Always amazing to work with, authentic products, & can find you ANYTHING. She does not inflate prices & she is a reseller who OTHER resellers follow so that they can open up their own pages & resell her finds for a profit (I really did my due diligence with this Constance 18 that I got so I know)! ***SPECIALIZES IN SOURCING CHANEL & HERMES!***

@amgluxuryshop -- Very honest reseller with very fair prices. Have not worked with him yet, but I know his finds are authentic & he sources from all over the world! ***SPECIALIZES IN SOURCING CHANEL & HERMES!***

@gabwaller -- WHO DOESN'T KNOW Gab Waller lmao! She is the best - but she has a HUGE client list (filled with celebrities) so sometimes she picks & chooses what she can source for you. She sources for a fee (so you are not paying an arm & a leg).
***SPECIALIZES IN SOURCING ALL BRANDS - WILL NOT SOURCE HERMES (maybe some Hermes accessories but NEVER ANY BAGS)!***

@jaidifinds -- VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE, has a bit of an attitude, not that great to work with, sources a lot of goods from New York City boutiques (which is where she is based) so she is paying a lot on tax with her sourcing fee - it's EXPENSIVE. I feel you should only shop with her if you don't know of anyone else. Doesn't provide actual receipts (only copies) for any purchases... overall not that great of an experience. The good thing is that she only sources from boutique (never from other resellers) so her sourcing is always authentic. ***SPECIALIES IN SOURCING ALL LUXURY BRANDS - WILL ONLY SOURCE HERMES IF YOU HAVE SOURCED FROM HER A FEW TIMES BEFORE & ARE A "Loyal" Customer. I.E. Also, wants us to play the Hermes game just through her & her sourcing fee."

@threadsstyling -- Can be a hit or a miss. They are EXPENSIVE. Will mess with you on the price - very expensive. Use @threadstyling as a last resort, but sometimes their pricing can be good if what you want has been sourced straight from the boutique threadstyling associates. *** SPECIALIZES IN SOURCING ANYTHING YOU WANT UNDER THE SUN!***

Welcome to the community, and thank you for the insight! :flowers:

Hello and welcome. I'm interested in your confidence about these resellers. Without depth in the brand yourself, how did you determine they are trustworthy re authenticity? And that one seller is "always amazing to work with" if you've bought one Hermes bag ever?

And did you get your bag authenticated once you received it? Thanks.

Hey yes I did with @bababebi & also received the original receipt with my Constance 18 purchase! Also it’s my first time getting a bag - but I have friends, cousins, & a luxury savvy mum who has purchased from these guys before & authenticated! Also this is my first Hermes bag, but I have purchased many Chanel bags before from these resellers! And also I have purchased a lot of Hermes shoes & Chanel shoes from these guys! And also many big-time influencers vouch for these resellers on their pages & talk about them!

Also I haven’t used these guys - but I have heard really good things about:
@maasticluxury
@bagsbyappointment
@GinzaXiaoma
@personalshopperlondon
@madisonavenuecouture

But do your due diligence because I haven’t used these guys yet! Many many resellers also have ‘reviews’ listed on Instagram that I feel allow you to know that real people are purchasing bags from these guys & are satisfied with their purchases! Also a few of these people will provide you with a @bababebi authentication certificate if you request it along with your purchase - you just have to pay the fee of course!

Welcome. Please post from personal experience, not heresy or third party's. TY

Anyone have experience with Luxlair on eBay?
They say they are based in Minnesota but a bag I am looking at says it ships from Japan.

I inquired as to why and they said their are headquartered in MN but have warehouses all of the world. Sounds fishy but they have stellar feedback and have been on eBay since 2003. Anyone have direct experience with them or heard anything about them? They also have a .com website.

Hello, I am new here and would like to get some insight - JaneFinds and Madison Avenue Couture offered me the same quote to consign my bag. Which one would you choose? Did you have any pleasant/unpleasant experience with any? Did the bag sell quickly? Thank you so much. ❤️

Is anyone tracking how long bags are taking to sell on the current resale market? Are things sitting around for longer? From my extremely unscientific observations :smile: it looks as if classic colours in excellent condition move about as quickly as they did in past years while past seasonal colours and some special editions languish for longer and are more likely to be discounted on say FP. I thought pricing might be softening but list prices for B25s and K25s seem to have moved up again. Thoughts?

Things are still slowing down on such platforms as Facebook. Hardly any bags sell unless they are a steal. Mini Kelly’s in classic colors sit at 20-21k and lesser colors as low as 16k. B25s can regularly be found for under 15k in excellent condition and 19-20k in classic colors BNIB. Now is not a good time to be a reseller…
