Trusted Hermes Reseller Discussion Thread

is the reseller bubble bursting or are Luxury Promise becoming tacky by auctioning Hermes bags starting from £1. They are not Christie’s to auction bags. Just feel they have access stock they need to get rid of.
I suspect its a gimmick to gain traction on their site.
I dont see prices going down generally.
Luxury is still booming according to several of the major auction houses & unfortunately these
gimmicks are just a ploy for discussion
Resellers may be offering higher pay out prices to get "in demand" bags but the market will
dictate sooner or later what people are willing to spend & do agree I don't see prices
on H birkins ( 25 & 30 ) coming down..
My friend is in Paris now.. went to the Sevres store looking for very specific Petit H items
very low inventory & SA's were saying merchandise still coming in everyday in spite of it still
being August.. Demand is greater than supply & SA's are inundated with requests & texts

I have finally had it with TRR and will never shop their site again. I. AM. Done.

It’s not that hard to list a Hermes scarf and disclose its flaws.

I purchased a scarf that I have had on my search list for several years now.
It was described as Excellent condition and no visible signs of wear.

I purchased, paid for two day shipping and just opened the box……..

The scarf haas several runs that I was going to overlook and some disappointing fabric separation I decided to overlook as well……but……unfortunately then I discovered a HOLE in the scarf.

It seems TRR believes a hole in a $1000 scarf is “no visible signs of wear.”

1st photo shows the runs I was going to overlook
2nd photo show the fabric separation of what ever it is.
3rd and 4th photo shows the hole. A hole in a $1000 item that was not disclosed.

Beware - Scarf is back up on TRR at Excellent with NO noticeable SIGNS OF WEAR. I guess if you fold a scarf around your neck then......any holes, runs and stretched weaves are considered "not noticeable" and therefore a correct description? :amazed:

Has anyone had experience purchasing from Covetthy/Birkin fairy on ebay?
She seems legit as you can find articles about the owner and a few posts found here but there's a bag i'm looking at which is slightly discounted on her ebay (versus covetthy.com) which is a bit weird to me - and the ebay shop isn't on Caroline Bui/birkin fairy's linktree, while the website is

Definitely beware of TRR for bags. I once purchased another brand handbag advertised as Very Good, but definitely was fair or good - I sold it for a $2.3K loss. Their shoes tend to be in great, virtually new condition, however.

Hi @scriptofthebridge
I have had great experiences with Caroline Bui/TheBirkinFairy/Covethy. She was my SA at Hermes for years and helped me buy my first Birkin about 17 years ago (ugh that makes me feel old.) She continued to help me build a wonderful collection and I 100% trust her and her advice. Since she left Hermes she has sourced items and sold items for me on the second hand market. She's a good one!
Hope this helps and happy to answer any other questions if you have them

I’m shocked by how much resale prices have fallen in individual sales on places like Facebook groups. B25s in like new condition can easily be found sitting around for under $20k (I’ve seen as low as $12k!) and even mini Kelly’s are struggling to sell at $19-20k as well.
@acrowcounted - is the hype dying off, or since H production is ramping up people start to receive bags from the boutique? Pure speculation of course.

I had a few bags valued recently by auction houses (Christies, Sothebys) for the fall sales, and while they gave me good valuations, they also did mention that in their view prices are now dropping on the smaller sizes, where in prior recent years it was 32, 35, and up that were dropping. (Scary aside, one house was offered so many Birkin 20s (not Faubourg) that they are no longer taking them...this bag has been out for a hot minute. ETA: this is for the Vert d’Eau color not the others. )

I have seen reputable resellers sell Birken/Kelly’s at very low price points now; most gen z are open to vintage on trend bags rather than Hermes.
