I wish I checked this page first! I just purchased a scarf from l.i.g-online-store - had the scarf authenticated here but the seller did NOT disclose the scarf had runs and deemed it "excellent" for vintage. Luckily the runs aren't very noticeable and washing it sort of helped.

My suggestion (as with all auction house sales where a physical preview is not available) would be to ask for a specialist and either see the bag in person or have them video it closely for you.
Ofc Sothebys is respectable, but they do make mistakes on color and leather, and condition is very much a matter of opinion.

I haven’t bought from them, but the shop’s IG posts and also the family’s put me off. The posts are so staged. I would check out other stores if I were you.

I have always been curious about this place!!! They are all over my IG and seem very adamant about authenticity. But the fact that I never saw them mentioned anywhere on PF made me wonder….

Does anyone have good experiences with any personal shoppers based on Canada?

I did some searching and found a reference to Luxedujour, but that seems to be a reseller i.e. with stock for sale, as opposed to a personal shopper that could source something that appears to be available?

Thanks for any info.
