I have inquired about a few bags in the past, asking about price, condition, more pictures, etc. I ended up not buying any of them. After a couple times, I inquired again and she started being non responsive. I would follow up and then she wouldn’t respond at all. She doesn’t want to waste time on buyers who are not “serious” in buying.
Ya, she likes and praises those who drop transfers without asking questions  Thanks for sharing.

Really appreciate your help ☺.
I’ve also had bad experiences with Klueles.com. Once she sent me pictures which were found fake upon authentication. Given how sweet she was in interacting, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and tried once more. This time she even claimed that the bag was Entrupy certified. I reached out to Entrupy customer care and they couldn’t confirm if this was the bag they authenticated and even mentioned that they don’t work with this business anymore! She has been somehow supplying authentication certificates with bags which I’m sure aren’t very hard to fake. Finally, I even asked an expert seller acquaintance to look at her Instagram pictures and she could immediately tell that most were fake. I would never risk buying from Klueles.com

I looked at the guepards scarf and wondered if they were nuts. They are probably testing the market using a big cat scarf to see if they can sell other HS than those by Kermit Oliver (for example) at an outrageous price. A collector who is desperate may go for it.

Their business model is based on flipping. If they slam a really high price on HS, especially 90cm, they're modeling themselves after 1st Dibs. Certainly 1st Dibs is the gold standard of selling high-priced collectibles, IMO. A really high price is inconsistent with flipping's notion of fast turnover, in and out of the market quickly. So TRR's going to have to discover the sweet spot which provides an above-average price in a relatively short period of time. (Good luck with that).

!st Dibbs is a platform that hosts collection of professional resellers/dealers. There is not a single selling model only a % fee for use of their platform. Prices tend to be higher on there because 1st Dibbs demands it's cut. If you know the seller and they have a separate site, you may find the price is much lower, sometimes as much as 30%. Farfetch vintage is the same but they factor in your country's duty/tax . The mark-up only works for buyers if the item is not available in that territory (duties will apply to 1st Dibbs, not to FF, but you can use offers).

@papertiger - I meant to ask about your experience with collectors square. Did it work out in the end? I visited them when I was in Paris and it all looked very impressive with a good selection of vintage and some newer pieces…

It must be much easier in person. So pleased to hear it looked good. Did you manage to find anything for you? If so what was your experience?

I don't suppose there's so much incentive to help someone online. In the end, I let it go. It was a close call to who had the worst Customer Service, CS or my CC, it was a race to the bottom. The problem with the UK at that time is that we had Brexit looming 1 Jan, and I'd have to pay duty on top of what was already a steep price (agreeable market price, I just mean steep for me). Sometimes things are just not meant to be.

Yes - definitely a lot easier in person - though fully masked of course. ;) I try not to think about duty -brexit has really killed it.

@papertiger Could you clarify what you said about duty, that brexit has really killed it, in relationship to the duties that were imposed in the EU prior to brexit? Which is/was more expensive?

It's not the remit of the thread to go into it too much, but suffice to say, when someone from the UK buys from the Euro-zone, home of many sellers and platforms such as Collector's Square, Labellov or Vestaire, he/she now has to pay duties on anything (unless pre-paid as on FF). I'm not sure what the Euro tariff is from UK to the EU, I'm sure similar. From that date (01.01.21) the UK no longer gives International residents anywhere duty-free tax-back which could affect resellers/dealers in/outside the UK as it has impacted other luxury businesses.

Hi all, I am new in this forum and also new to Hermes. Recently I have some issue with my bag and our local reseller.
I was having my holiday in Europe Dec 2021, pop in to hermes boutique, the SA offer me a black evelyne III 29, phw. I agreed and get it. When my departure at the airport, I pop in hermes store and saw another evelyne III 29 ghw. I prefer the gold, so I get that too.
When I came back to Singapore, I decided to sell away the phw bag. I chance upon a FB online reseller. I pm them asking how much can my bag fetch. They gave me an amount and ask me to bring my bag to them for real life quotation. So I fix an appointment with them next day. When I reach their office, I show her full set of my item and original receipt. Than she say its under consignment. Haizzz I really don't like consignment, but I'm thinking since I'm there I just leave with them to consign. She even told me consign better cos if u post in carousell, troublesome and many lowballer.
Bag with them on 25/1/2022. So, that few days I watch their live but never see my bag is up for bidding. So I'm thinking maybe it's gg to cny, they might put it up after cny holiday. 09/02/2022, I received a text from them via fb messenger. Shocking news. They wrote that my bag did not pass the authentication check from their trustworthy systems use in their trade of line. They will provide me the Evidence Report from Entrupy when my bag returns to me. My mouth open big enough and speechless. I text them is the report international cos I need to send over to Europe to clarify. She never reply me directly, she just reply see you.
Well, I rush over to their office. And guess what, the lady told me her new colleague copy n paste the template. And there's no Entrucy report at all. They return my bag, reason is due to my bag is new, they cannot authenticate. And I ask her, than why didn't the lady who take in my bag that day know about this? Than she say the lady who talk to me that day is an admin only.
I'm very upset about this. This is my 1st hermes purchase. And I feel I was being indirectly accuse my bag is a fake one.
Anyway, I texted them to give me the explanation written on text, they reply they busy. So till now no sound no picture from them.

Be glad that you have your bag back. What is important is that you know it is authentic & have
the appropriate paperwork to support that.
If you intend to consign the bag to another reseller I would consider having it authenticated
by Bababei who is top notch & well regarded for her authentications in writing. For a small
fee at the end of the day it is worth the service & peace of mind, JMO
There is much controversary with regard to Entrupy & since you have your original bag back, I would
disregard the comments made & move forward with whatever decision you now will make
about selling/consigning the bag

Thanks for your kind words. I'm not going to leave my bag for consignment anymore. This will be my 1st and last. Very horrific experience.

Does anyone have experience with Sukilux or know about their reputation? Their H bags are listed at much lower reselling price but many are showing ‘pre-order’?
Hi there, I’m also very keen to know if anyone has had an experience with Sukilux? They seem to have a large selection and prices are lower than other resellers. Probably too good to be true. Would be good to know your views. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I don't know if my question has to be asked in this thread.
Ive found this deal but I don't know if its real and trusted seller.... anyone experience ?Thank you !!!

I personally wouldn’t buy an Hermes bag from anyone on Instagram for
more reasons than I can list. Especially when there are so many well known resellers with pristine reputations.
