Trusted Hermes Reseller Discussion Thread

I received it today. On first examination, it looks good. It seems to me unworn.
I'll post pics in the authentication thread tomorrow. The weird and annoying thing is that there was a tag that said the item was final sale. WTH. It was not on 40% off. It's an old pattern 140 CSGM. I am hoping it's from one of this initial releases in the pre-2000 era because shawls back then wore like iron.
Ugh! I got bitten by the 'final sale' thing, too. That cured me from buying off of TRR for awhile until this scarf came along...
I hope you got the "good" cashmere LOL. I remember lots of discussion on the forum when it started to go downhill. I have a couple of early 2000s CSGMs that have worn well, I think it was around 2008, 2010 or thereabouts when the quality started to decline. (off topic - but I was also recently thinking of another past issue - for you other OGs out there - remember the stinky leather debacle?)
FWIW, I ignore that ‘final sale’ tag and have returned them anyway (not the 40% stuff, but I avoid those in any event).

Sometimes you have to just roll the dice and hope for the best when it’s something you’ve been searching for. If authentic, there have been some incredible bargains on TRR; outrageous enough that I’ve felt really bad for the consignor and dismayed at TRR’s inability to get it right.

I had the Brides Rebelles Mousselline in the other color way (coral, purple-y grays and cream). I had never seen this color way before. It's beautiful.

But since I was burned on another scarf that I know to be a fake. There was(is) no Three Graces 140CM detail shawl produced to date. While the scarf was pretty, there were lots of other "tells" that the scarf was a fake.

ETA: I loved the Hermes Boutique in the Chevy Chase NM. Sigh. Both H and Neimans are gone.
And there was never a Femme aux Semelle moussie (let alone in mens). I imagine should you find yourself with a fake you can always work with your credit card. Looking forward to seeing your new beauty!

Recently I bought (and returned) a fake Hermes scarf on TRR. I did not want to get into a pissing match with them about authenticity. I saw that it sold again (Feeling a bit guilty.)

I do not think TRR has the manpower or the balls to police (relatively) low dollar purchases such as H scarves and shawls. And lately I have seen legitimate H pattern scarves in colorways I’ve never seen before. I have been shopping for H scarves since 1980ish.

Has anyone noticed this? I am really careful now. Am I seeing phantoms? Here is an example.

ETA: I did not put this scarf on hold.

I've read (a while back) that TRR employees have to speed up the production line, just like at Amazon. So, stuff falls thru the cracks. I've never gotten a fake scarf but I have gotten ones that reek of perfume. TRR covers itself by declaring there is "no visible damage." TRR does allow no-hassle returns, fortunately.

EB, it's unfortunate that the scarf you showed, quite pretty, was fake. But overall, are you satisfied with TRR? You're the Queen of judicious purchases, particularly at a great mark-down. I know you, like me, enjoy those kind of purchases. I'd let the occasional scarf that's flawed or fake go. I've looked at other resellers and their prices seem to be fairly high so I'm loyal to TRR.

We haven't heard from you in a while so hope you are doing well.

I’ve been scouring all the usual reputable pre-loved sites (AFF/Fashionphile/Rebag etc ) for the past month on a daily basis as it’s the time of year when I gift myself a bag.
I’ve become really disheartened because of the insane prices even on the less popular styles I like!
I refuse to pay full retail for a 5 year old bag with issues that I could buy in store.
off topic but ugh. Its just greed now.
For bags in colors I'm seeking I would pay a reasonable premium b/c I don't expect to have a second chance at getting that color.

I find that 1-4 slip through a month. I know Redbird had a fake. I have had a fake. I wrote the words fake in big letters on my invoice I put in the box. It resold.
It comes down to buyer knowledge sadly. The easily spotted fakes are usually the wrong color schemes or never came in the size/formats. Like others have said, it’s hard to tell a great fake by their pictures sadly. I am sure some of those have slipped through without my notice.
There are so many mistakes made with condition listings but they are good about returns so it’s fine. Recently I bought an excellent condition that was severely soiled! It was black based and I think they didn’t look hard at it. I got it at 60% off so I washed it twice and kept it Rather than fight them. It’s fine now, but not “excellent”! When they put the plastic tag through the actual silk ( especially a mousseline) I call and refuse to pay to send it back to them. That is inexcusable. So they cover the cost.
I get it’s a huge business with expert staff problems. But I like the large inventory so I just keep an eye on my purchases.

I am going to take a break from buying scarves from them for a bit. I have better luck with RTW, jewelry, and bags. I am very careful with bags though since they are not returnable.

I never tried their RTW. I have a lot of clothes, though, mostly work outfits. And I'm retired so I'm trying to cut back, alter things that are too big, sew up things from fabric stash. And pair HS with various tops and jackets I already have.

I imagine you could get a good value every now and then b/c you are so familiar with bags.

I like to look at their selection too. It's always changing so it's a lot of fun.

Department stores keep things for like 3 months at regular price then mark them down. So inventory changes infrequently.

Hi Lovelies,

Has anyone purchased from this reseller (maisondeluxe07) before ? Is it legit and sell authentic items ? I'm eyeing for an expensive item, hence I want to check with all H lovers/experts in here.
I would appreciate any feedback
Thank you in advance

Did any of you sell your Hermes bags outright to a consignment store such as Xupes, Luxury Promise, Batista, Cudoni etc? I see the sell bags at £14-16k so curious how much they buy them for from the individual sellers. Thanks

Hi! I’m an H newbie and after looking at the Halzan 25 for awhile I finally pulled the trigger at FASHIONPHILE! Yes, I did pay over retail (according to FP it’s brand new and it also looks new to me once I received it and inspected in person). I have no connection with any SA and have no time to do the whole H journey thing so I think even for non-quota bags, basically any hard-to-find items I’d probably go the pre-owned route. I really love the soft evercolor leather AND the terra cotta tone of this blush color!!
Since this is my first H bag and I’m unfamiliar with H (unlike Chanel, which I’ve owned quite a few throughout the years), should I still have a 3rd party to authenticate it even though I bought it from FASHIONPHILE which is very reputable? Anyone else has bought H bags from FP and wanna sure their experience or thoughts?
Another thing I’m looking into is a purse insert for it? I am thinking Samorga but would definitely love any feedback from those who use it. Would an insert significantly reduce the amount of spaces inside the bag? And would an insert help the bag to hold its shape overtime?
And excuse my messy bed and a not too great pic! I don’t have much time to play around with it during workdays with my busy schedule but I’ll definitely share more nicer pics when the weekend comes!

Wow, that’s a striking color for the halzan - very versatile. I used to have all Hermes purchases from anyone other than Hermes authenticated but have not bothered with my last few from Fashionphile as I have a reasonable amount of trust in their process after having bought and sold a lot of Hermes from/to them. I actually just got a Plume 40 from Fashionphile and was surprised to receive it in essentially new condition (only thing missing was the retail box). Their descriptions/conditions on high value items tend to be painstakingly accurate to the point where I would say they overdisclose and note things I would never notice or care about (and would expect to find on the same bag in an Hermes store that had been sitting in stock for a while, such as hardware indentations on very soft leather).

I use a bag shaper/organizer on all Hermes bags so they hold their shape as long as possible, except for an Etriviere messenger in fjord leather - could never find one to fit it. I usually get a cheap one off Amazon or Etsy. Congrats again, so pretty, sorry for the novella!
