Can anyone recommend any UK based resellers. With Brexit and now having to pay an additional 20% on everything coming in from Europe its suddenly become very lonely and expensive being English. Im having things sent to a friend in Ireland but who knows when I can get over there to collect it.

I have had good experiences with lilac blue of London.

I highly recommend @covetedclassics(ig) and @eclaireatelier(ig). Gina(Covetedclassics) sells authentic H bags and her prices are offered at great price even for BNIB. just bought k25 rogue de coeur verso grenat from eclaireatelier. Great price, good service. Covetedclassics is based in US and Eclarieatelier is based in spore. just sharing personal experience
I checked eclarieatelier and their prices double and sum. B/K over 20k USD is extreme.

I’ve used and can highly recommend Designer Exchange, Xupes and Naughtipidgins Nest (although limited H stock on the latter, but Sian at NPN is lovely if they have what you want). You could also try Sellier Knightsbridge (I’ve not bought or sold through them but very quick to respond to email enquiries and they use Bababebi to authenticate I believe). Luxury Promise have H items but I’ve contacted them three times since December with no reply so not too sure about their customer service!

Hi I’d like to buy a bag from reseller and the bag looks okay; however the original receipt looks like photocopied. would like to check if anyone who has bought from H Ho Chi Minh can confirm if the receipt really looks like this? The logo and store address details looks fade; isnt it normally these basic information are pre-printed? Thanks in advance..

Since this seems like a question on authenticity, if the bag is still for sale it's better to use Authenticate This H thread for the bag itself or use a paid for service.

A receipt, copied or not, proves nothing.

I would love to be able to visit this boutique! Has anyone here seen it yet? Story Credit: FORBES

The line between full-price apparel and accessories and second-hand resale is blurring, with the previously worn or pre-loved sector permeating every corner of the industry and growing at a faster clip than traditional brick-and-mortar brands by tapping into a consumer base that’s remained motivated and loyal during the COVID-19 pandemic, and appealing to new consumers with lower prices.

Resale in 2019 grew 25% faster than the broader retail sector, reaching $29 billion, according to GlobalData. Traditional retail will continue to surrender share to secondhand, which will an estimated at $43 billion in sales by 2029 compared with resale’s $80 billion, the company said.

While retailers continue to close stores on prime retail thoroughfares across the U.S., resellers such as The RealReal, which focuses on designer apparel, handbags and accessories, recently unveiled its biggest store, a 12,000-square-foot unit on Chicago’s North Michigan Avenue, in close proximity to a Louis Vuitton boutique, one of the most popular brands in its assortment.

I'd go just for the eye candy!

Privé Porter said its preowned handbags are unused and in pristine condition. The company counts on consumers buying handbags directly from Hermès, having a change of heart after the purchase, and subsequently selling the item to Privé Porter.

“They’re highly invested in buying things from their [Hermès] store and salesperson and have dumped $180,000 into plates and cups and watches,” said Jeffrey Berk, managing director of Privé Proter, said of Hermès customers. “The salesperson says, ‘We don’t have the bag you want in Blue Saphir, but we have blue cobalt,’ and they buy it. We can get Blue Saphir for them.”

Despite Hermès’ tightly controlled distribution of Birkin and Kelly handbags, Privé Porter said it maintains a robust inventory through its passionate community of collectors, and specializes in sourcing rare and unique Hermès styles as well as handbags in new 2020 colorways such as Vert Criquet, (green), Sellier Rainbow, (four-colors), and Bleu Brume, (light blue or lilac).

The handbags are precious and given plenty of room to breath. “We’re going to have just nine or 10 bags on display, one of every size Birkin and Kelly,” Berk said. “It’s a lot of floor space for nine bags, but women keep coming again and again.

“This is not an environment for anyone who isn’t a serious buyer. We don’t want to be in a position where women are coming in and posing for the ‘gram,’” said Berk, referring to Instagram, where Privé Porter was a first adopter of Instagram e-commerce in 2013. “We’re only accommodating two groups at a time with three in a group.”

Handbags have plenty of room to breathe in displays.

Handbags at Privé Porter range in price from $15,000 to $250,000.

Berk expects the Brickell store to do $1 million in sales per month without cannibalizing the brand’s $1.5 million in monthly sales on Instagram. The most expensive handbag sold by Privé Porter, an Hermès 30 cm Gris Cendre Diamond Himalaya Crocodile Birkin with 18-karat gold hardware, fetched $500,000, close to three time more than the original Hermès retail price.

“With the demise of traditional retail anchors, shopping centers are looking to new, innovative brands such as Privé Porter to further attract affluent customers,” Berk said. “At a time when most retailers are shuttering stores and focusing on e-commerce, Privé Porter is seizing this opportunity to provide a first of its kind retail experience, shattering the ‘glass ceiling’ of secondhand luxury, legitimizing Privé Porter as a staple in the luxury community.”

It's a beautiful store. I love the warm-leaning neutrals and the tasteful, restrained flora. I wonder what the appointment process is like.

I'm still wary of resellers in the age of superfakes, but this seems like a fun destination during a trip to Miami.

I hoping some of the TPF Miami members will check it out and report back. What a treat it would be to be able to see all of the Hermes colours in bags up close. It also would be great as you could easily decide which size Birkins and Kellys work for you, as you never get to try them on for size at H.
I could see myself not being able to resist buying a Birkin, since I wouldn't have to continue the H spend to qualify for a bag.
