thankyou for the reply.
It’s the mark on the front that bothers me.
And the fact it comes with no box when it costs so much money!

And yes prefer the Kelly over the birkin because of the strap. The have a birkin on there for roughly the Same price but it’s green which I’m not keen on. Think black is a safe option for me.
also prefer a larger bag as I can easily fill it
Personally the lack of a box wouldn't bother me at all But as previously mentioned Please do your research before opting for a box leather bag (I will also echo earlier comments about getting reliable authentication).
I LOVE box leather..I actually dream of buying a box leather Birkin or Hac BUT-I also own many box leather bags
Some Vintage some not and my experience really makes me VERY wary about investing £1000's in a box leather bag unless its a steal and I fall in love.
It scratches (fine I can deal with that) it can dry out But worst of all and a deal breaker for me is the fact it can bubble if it gets rained on. I have a beautiful Gucci lady Lock, its a stunning bag that I haven't used that much but when I took it out recently to nourish it saw it now had 'bubbling' on the surface from when I got rained on last time I was out with it.
Hermes spa can help look after your bag but I very much doubt they can remove 'bubbling' on the leather.

I own many vintage box leather Kelly’s and they are all beautiful. Some are more weathered than others and they all have stories to tell and I love them all. It’s a more fragile leather than some others but I go out of my way to buy box over the other leathers. You clearly have some concerns with box but some of your concerns are not warranted and discouraging someone with worst case scenarios to me is a disservice to the beauty of these bags. If you’re going to stand out in the rain then yes the leather will blister but I have had many bags get wet and have simply dried them immediately and had no issues.

Thank you-I actually  having a box Birkin or Hac but It was the blistering that has scared me off but I guess the answer is to carry a small cloth out with me knowing that if it rains to wipe dry immediately.
Sadly when I got caught in a rain shower I wasn't aware that the blistering would happen and just let it dry naturally in the car rather than wiping it.

I keep an Hermès purse raincoat in all my bags and simply cover them if I get caught in the rain.

I have been searching through the forum, but thought I'd ask here. Where are people selling their Birkins mostly? I am too nervous about being scammed to sell on Ebay, and have put in a quote to JaneFinds, FP, and Yoogi's today -- too early to hear back. Any other places that one would recommend?

I highly recommend @covetedclassics(ig) and @eclaireatelier(ig). Gina(Covetedclassics) sells authentic H bags and her prices are offered at great price even for BNIB. just bought k25 rogue de coeur verso grenat from eclaireatelier. Great price, good service. Covetedclassics is based in US and Eclarieatelier is based in spore. just sharing personal experience
@callmethey how does one get in touch with @covetedclassics (ig)? It says she takes consignments but there is no way to contact her? Has anyone consigned through her

Hi,
I had approached Ann last year using this email [email protected]. to get a preliminary consignment quote for one of my bags. In order to get an ALMOST accurate quote from her, please send her good close-up pictures of your bag/s. Either she or one of her staff will response to your inquiry. HTH. Cheers.

I see on her webite that you have to ship the bag to her before she will give a quote. How do her quotes compare to other places?

I've consistently gotten the best prices from Madison Avenue Couture.
