When I consign scarves to TRR, I include boxes. But I do not expect all consignors to include boxes. So, whether I receive a box or not does not trouble me.

All in all, I find their prices fair. Occasionally, you can find a real bargain.

I consign with TRR because of its global reach, professionalism and ease of consignment. They come to my house and pick things up. When items sell, you get a check. No drama. TRR is not perfect, but they are head and shoulders better than some of the consignment options out there.

The last consignment store I used took several months for them to return unsold items. It was like pulling teeth. But I finally got my stuff back.

That consignor also ruined two items, but I had no recourse. On one item, the piece of jewelry was so worn that the hallmark wore off. So, I know it went out on a trial sale. The second item was a brand new CDC belt where a person trying it on ripped the hardware off its mooring on the leather. When I received the items back, I briefly glanced to see if they were there and put them in the consign to TRR storage. TRR refused the items for lack of hallmark and condition. Expensive lesson learned.

That’s when I resolved to get all my items returned and never work with that person again.

There are a lot of bad consignment options out there. In my experience, TRR is one of the good ones.

Recent experience with brand_jfa disappointing, not good for relationship building, but it may be considered fair enuf by some. I asked for a small partial refund of $150 — since odor wasn’t indicated in listing — to cover costs of sending for treatment to @docride, would have settled for $50 product cost of kit; but seller refused via eBay messaging, saying the discount to $2,412 was already good. No partial refund but would happily take it back IN JAPAN for full refund. Very cute eBay won’t let me leave a neutral or negative rating for 7 days because brand_jfa is an approved seller. I have calendared an appropriate date

Evelyne vibrato PM was not disclosed as STINKS TO HIGH HEAVEN in listing, no mention at all of odor in either bag or dustbag. When opened Saturday in USA, AWFUL! Had to take an allergy tablet for musty odor that quickly spread into the next rooms. Overnight, Had to enclose the two items in plastic bin with lavender sachets and baking soda just to sleep.

Next day, another allergy tablet as let out of bin to air. Today, you can be in the same room and not run for the tissues. Without the odor wafting as one walks, I could have worn the bag a bit, even as waited through holidays to thoroughly clean and check for regluing needs.

The good news: really fast delivery and their piks were waaaaay off — in a good way.

Are they trusted with authenticity? I am looking at several of their bags! Also, how was your experience with duty taxes in the US?

My bag was authentic. I can’t speak generally to the authenticity of the inventory.
My problem was the unmentioned stench that came with the bag, which I ultimately returned for a full refund.

There is a thread on here for Hermes bag authenticity questions PRIOR TO purchase, while auction/sale is still up.

I paid no duty/custom/import taxes to USA from Japan. It was free shipping all around.

There's a great group of stellar resellers in the marketplace & perhaps one of the reasons many go to TRR
is the percentage for consignors can be higher than many other resellers will offer
TRR will also come to one's house which is an added bonus for many
It really comes down to who has the bag or item you are looking for, who has the best condition & price
& free shipping is always a plus
I've made a few purchases from TRR some have been more disappointing than others as
condition is front & center for me & I have been disappointed on more than one occasion
but I do take a peek every now & then

They get things out quickly IME, and I prefer that much more that a nicely wrapped package. Whether the scarf is neatly folded and put into the white bag, I don't care, b/c I have so many scarves drycleaned immediately.
I’m not talking about a nicely wrapped package as in pretty, etc. I was referring to an expensive Kelly just thrown in a box without proper wrapping or protection. Hope I clarified ❤️

An expensive kelly being treated like a plastic tote from a five & dime store? I wouldn't like that. Since the scarves usually need drycleaning to eliminate perfume odor, I don't care if they're stuffed in a white bag. But I wouldn't like getting a kelly that's been mishandled, not treated with care.

Exactly....that’s how my dream Kelly arrived, albeit pre-loved, but nevertheless it was precious to me. I hope they improved their shipping.

Unfortunately, I think this happens too often is because the shipping staff is not "trained properly" & don't
always understand the value of an item
Every item should be packed properly & if the shipping department doesn't know how, this sadly is the
result in combination with misrepresentation of items that it come in a haphazard manner
I dislike those white bags they have an odor to them , they are "cheap as cheap could be"
& whoever is in charge of the shipping department needs to make some improvements, IMO
I imagine these "listers" have to get merchandise posted promptly, so really how much attention is really
given to condition, measurements & smells?

I made an appointment with Ruelamode to view a bag. It’s a seasonal colour therefore uncommon. Hence I wanted to get a sense of the colour. I was very lucky to be served by the owner herself Sherral Ng Wan Ying. She answered my queries with a tone and look on her face “You mean you don’t know?” When I was done I returned the bag to her and said I will have a think about it. To which she then rolled her eyes when she thought I had turned my back towards her. I caught that and asked her if she was expecting me to buy the bag right away. She said yes usually when people asked to view the bag they will buy it if there’s no flaws. My response to her was that I didn’t know that’s how she runs her business. BTW I had taken only a grand total of 5 mins of her time.

She is from a privileged background and I guess that makes her feel she has a right to treat people with distain. Very disgusted with her stinking attitude.

luckily for me I managed to find another reseller with the same Kelly. Not going to give business to a poor mannered snob.

So sorry to hear of this experience. Yes I know what you mean. The vibe is not really warm. I have bought from her before and service was good because I bought something you see. I would venture to say many resellers tend to be like that too but showing that they are upset when you don’t buy is something nobody should tolerate.

I have not returned to buy again although I think her pricing is reasonable, or rather in line with how other resellers price their bags. This is because I like to buy and sell through the same reseller. Some resellers are very helpful and committed to help you not only source but also sell.

I know it’s not exactly ‘glamorous’ to talk about selling out bags but it could happen that we find something we bought in excitement would not turn out to be really suitable for us after all. I want to have assurance that I also get great after sales service, including if I want to sell the same bag I bought from the same reseller.

Has anyone bought from Japanese IG reseller @missy_hermes_love? She has some really gorgeous pieces including a brand new rose confetti C18. I’ve contacted her and her English is just passable only.
