Good to know - I'll consider MAC more seriously going forward!

Good! Madison Avenue Couture provides authentication through Entrupy. Bababebi verified authentication for me. You won’t find a bag in fair or poor condition on MAC, only excellent, pristine, or new condition, yet overall prices better than the competitors if you use a coupon and don’t have to pay sales tax.

Oh so handy! I'm actually looking for an older bag with patina so I'll keep an eye on their vintage section. Where do you come across these MAC coupons?

Is this the authentication you mentioned? https://www.entrupy.com/ and to clarify, you opted to have Bababebi do a second / validation authentication? I've not yet purchased anything too pricy preloved (only SLGs) so I'm interested in what's considered best practice.

Also any experience with ReBag? I'm looking at a 1970s bag right now that's very beautiful but their 2-day returns worry me re. authentication.

Yes, I had Bababebi do a second authentication for me. If you go to Madison Avenue Couture’s website that I posted, sales will be advertised when they occur. You can also register with your email to get notified of sales. They just had another sale for Valentine’s Day. They sell only Hermès, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. If you want a broken in vintage bag, you would need to shop somewhere like Fashionphile. Just make sure you authenticate. I did receive a fake Chloe once from Fashionphile, but the returns are free within 30 days, and I sent it back without issue. I also received a Kelly 35 when it was listed as a 32. They would not do anything to correct the issue except let me return it. It was so soft and pretty that I kept it. They have had several listing errors, so just be sure to look and read carefully and ask for additional photos if you desire. Again, returns are not a problem if you’re not satisfied. But Fashionphile charges tax now in most states, so your price will be higher than some other resellers.

This is SO helpful, thank you. I have noticed some inaccurate listings on Fashionphile as well. I don't mind paying tax as long as returns are feasible. I'm also looking at ReBag but their 2-day return window is a little daunting - but that 1970s bag is calling to me!

I’ve been looking for a black matte Jige Elan for years and finally found one being sold by Instagram seller WK Accessoires. I sent numerous emails and DMs and haven’t received a response. Has anyone purchased from them?

I don't know if someone has answered your question yet. But I have done buying one Chanel Purse with them and it turned out not authentic one. I also keep the pictures to make a comparison, even tho they have numerous positive feedback on eb, and some of Ig-ers I followed mentioned them sometimes that made me quite confident trusting their business.

02/22/2020 : UPDATED with glamshock :
I have replied here about my experience purchasing with glamshock last time. I had some doubt of its authenticity of the purse I bought from them. I have sent it to get authenticated from third party and it turned out authentic. So I just want to re- clarify and re-post my opinion about them. They do operate on In as #moneybagvault if you guys want to check it out :)
Peace :D

I'm also interested in a bag from ReBag I brought a Loewe from them a few months ago and was utterly delighted with it but this is a lot more expensive and is Hermes so just wondering what rep they have with you guys?
I live in the UK so will have to pay import and shipping which adds a fair bit and also means I can't take advantage of the 48 return policy if theres a problem.
I'm nervous cos its a big deal for me having only brought a very battered vintage (1971 I think) kelly in the past and that was in person from a vintage dealer.

Hi everyone!

Hermes newbie here. I’m looking for a small bag that can be a crossbody for classic, everyday use.

I have a Evelyn PM it’s slightly larger than my ideal size, so I’m looking at Jypsiere 28.

I looked it up on TRR and there are a couple of really options there but I’m also scared that it’s too good to be true, so I’d like to hear your opinions & experiences if anyone has purchased Hermes on TRR.

Thanks in advance!

Although I've never purchased Hermes bags on TRR, I have put a few on consignment. I will say that they price based on popularity of the bag. Birkins will generally hold their value, and will sell for more depending on desirability--usually the smaller the size the more expensive, or the rarity of the color will raise the price. Constances were going to be price adjusted because they had too much inventory and they were not selling. I sold a toolbox for maybe 4500k-- but it was 7 years old. If jypsieres are not that popular, depending on the price, it may not necessarily be too good to be true.

I haven't purchased from TRR but have consigned also. I've been to their NYC Madison and Soho stores. I think the pictures posted on the website can be hit or miss on the actual condition of the bag. I remember seeing bags that I thought looked to be in good condition online only to find that not to be the case when I saw the bag in person. The sales person that I spoke with was friendly and helpful, and offered to provide further pictures of any bags I saw of interest in the future. So if you find one that you may be interested in, I would contact them to see if they can send you more pictures since their default listings only include a handful of images.

I have only purchased H scarves (many) and some jewelry and SLGs from TRR. I got a scarf last week - it was wadded into a ball and stuffed into their tacky bags and then mashed into the H box, from which the tissue had been removed. That is standard for the way that they treat the scarves, and I have to believe, everything else, too. They have been known to list fake items - I think their claims of expert authentication is a joke. But they undeniably get real stuff and I have never purchased a fake from them.

Bags are listed as non-refundable, so you should be aware of that going in. That said, if you purchased a fake bag, I suspect that if you raised hell about it, they would take the bag back. Their practice is to re-list items that they have been told are fakes.

The toughest issue with them and bags is that they take very few, crappy photos and do not capture the things that an authenticator needs to look at. If I were in your shoes, I would look at the first post in this thread and find out which specific photos Bababebi needs to authenticate from and then I'd ask TRR to provide those photos. I would not buy a bag without having it authenticated and I would ask Bababebi to do the authentication, she is the gold standard for H bags.

Good luck, I hope you find the bag that you want!

Just make sure you are comfortable with the description/condition of your purchase, if not request more pictures. Don’t be excited about a nicely wrapped package, it’s not their forte. Lastly be sure to have it authenticated.

I have been very happy with their service over about five years as a consigner. My account reps have been fabulous and the company always pays on time. I have limited experience buying, just a couple of items of jewelry, both of which were authenticated when I took them for appraisal.

I know there have been reports of fake bags, but to repeat what others have said, ask for additional photos for authentication if needed, and @bababebi is essential for buying Hermes consignment anywhere.

IMO they are a good company and want to keep you as a customer, so if you are unhappy for any reason "raise hell" per @Luvbolide. The "no return" policy is a deterrent for people who buy bags, use them, and try to return them after their event.

Good luck!
