Happy your own experience was positive, heatherlite.

I don't know why this seller keeps changing her eBay name, clearly it's her choice. I don't think it's a bad idea to search here, sometimes transactions on eBay don't happen for many reasons, and I am always of the view that the more information one has, the better. These are big ticket items, and I also wish the selling feedback were not private, it would give buyers a better idea of their seller.

A prospective buyer can evaluate all the information and make their own decision. Your post about your experience is welcome.

There are numerous reasons why a seller might change their name on Ebay.
Hermes discourages resale, for one. To find out more about "private" sales,
one can always contact the buyer and ask for more information. I have done that several times and gotten the information I needed concerning Hermes handbags. Also, many long standing Hermes resellers use private and their feedback is 100% as well. Maybe it's better to find out why a seller changes their name before implying a negative connotation.

This seller has been on eBay for a few years, and has had 6 different seller names, l*orange*cheval is just the most recent. We always recommend you do your own research, just so you get a complete picture. You can find the seller names in the feedback link in eBay, and click on the sellers id history. You can read more informaton on the Forum.

Very interesting, I never clicked that link before. But I can't find a way to see the feedback under those previously used names.

I respectfully disagree. The seller knows what kind of photos to post and yet persistently doesn't post views that would aid in authenticity. I have also had questions regarding her descriptions as to use/condition and frankly, as to authenticity on some of her bags.

As bababebi said, glad your experience was positive. A good track record is of course important, but every bag should be judged on its own merits.

Look at her current listing. Ebay Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/MINT-AUTHENTIC-...WH_Handbags&hash=item43a9127b0c#ht_511wt_1391. Do you not think those photos are sufficient for authentication purposes? I am seriously appalled at the criticisms of this outstanding seller. I would understand if this seller had less than 100% feedback. But her clients disagree with your authentication conclusions.

Again, I respectfully disagree. No, they are not sufficient for authentication.

I normally don't get involved with discussions like this, but looking at the photos on this ad, I wouldn't buy this bag. There are no key photos that I would need to for authentication and I personally own a large inventory of new and pre-owned Birkins. The photos provided give me zero information.

Yes, on Ebay. Just look at her completed listings.

Heatherlite, it's great that you feel comfortable buying from this seller. I have seen nearly all of her Hermes auctions and I have to say I do not share your enthusiasm. With a purchase that is adding a significant percentage on top of the store price for a used bag, I think it's imperative that the buyer be 1000 per cent comfortable. Clearly, you are. I would not be.

To each his or her own.

Mistikat, I only referred to her most recent auction. This seller has sold many new bags as well. In the last two weeks, she sold a brand new Rose Tyrien Birkin within a day for over $19k. Who would buy that quickly at that price point from a reseller who some deem to sell nonauthentic Hermes? Through these posts, I am trying to balance what I perceive to be unwarranted criticisms of a seller from whom I have bought several outstanding new and used Birkins. I hope you all understand my perspective.

Yes, I saw the rose tyrien birkin listing, which had no photos in it. People buy things on Ebay all the time. The fact that sellers may continue to sell and that people continue to buy from them does not, de facto, make them reputable or good sellers.

Again, I am glad you are comfortable with this seller. I am not and nothing I have ever seen in her auctions to date has made me any more comfortable.

I suppose you are happy with your bags and your experience. BUT the Rose Tyrien bag you mentioned had ZERO pictures displayed in the auction. I for one would never buy a bag in an auction with this presentation, and I would not recommend that anyone else do so either.

The photos were taken down after the auction ended because the seller did not want them copied. The fact that sellers leave 100% feedback does make them reputable sellers. The seller's descriptions couldn't be clearer, as in her present auction:

"I am always overly honest in my listings so there are no surprises when your bag is delivered! This bag has virtually no signs of wear. ALL photos in the auction are of the bag WITHOUT any stuffing in it, it is completely empty inside.

The four palladium feet still have stickers on them and all four corners have no wear or scratches on them. The front palladium hardware stickers have been removed but there is not ONE single mark or scratch on them. It looks like the stickers were removed and then the bag was never used. The interior is perfect, no chevre dents and it looks like nothing has ever even been placed inside of it.

All in all, it is tough to say if this bag has ever been carried judging especially from the hardware. Hardware ALWAYS gets tiny scratches in it once the bag is carried and this hardware is flawless."

Heatherlite, we could debate this endlessly. I have not been comfortable with this seller's Ebay listings for a variety of reasons. I doubt that will change in the future and frankly, nothing you have written has changed my mind.

You seem to be very comfortable purchasing from her, and that's great. Others here just don't share that view.

I'm also curious as to how you are so familiar with this seller's Ebay techniques, such as taking down the photos because she didn't want them copied?
