Trusted Hermes Reseller Discussion Thread

There have been several instances where this seller has been, shall we say, less than gracious when things went wrong. At these price points, I would expect much better customer service. I have also seen bags misrepresented in terms of dye being applied to bags, or non-Hermes service. In my opinion, there's more than authenticity to a good transaction - it's up to you to feel 100 per cent comfortable with a seller.

those are good points...thank you very much...there's always a reason why some resellers stock sells immediately and others just stays there! thank you

Great point, Mistikat about sellers: "There's more than authenticity to a good transaction".
When I deal with resellers, I expect timely responsiveness to e-mails, great photos and additional ones if requested, honest and fair negotiations if asked for, etc. Sellers like KaleidoPlace (Nancy),eBoutique(Donna),Anns(Jeff) are renowned for this type of service. Sellers like Fashionphile and Sergiec are not.

I just want to give a HUGE shout out to "Let-Trade". This is my second transaction with them and the Birkin is better than expected! The shipping was super fast and they were very accommodating.

That is so good to hear bc I am looking at a few things ~ it's reassuring to know that they are dependable!

has anyone had any recent experiences with mimiaction? From my searches on this forum, I see "he" has some mixed feedback on service but not on authenticity. But then if I look at toolhaus, I see negative comments about selling fakes (http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=mimiaction&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home). I am about to decide whether to jump in or stay away as the seller seems to have some nice blue constance and box kellys (but then again they have been listed forever with no bids?). Any feedback very much appreciated

I just won the bidding for the vintage blue box kelly from mimiaction. will let you all know how the transaction goes. so far the communication has been smooth and the response has been prompt.

It is my fist time ever purchasing Hermes from an online store, I did ask my SA to look into the pics before I went ahead with bidding.

Here is the bag link. Will keep everyone here posted!

that would be super helpful lovechanel...good luck and looking forward to hearing from you

Bought a birkin from Sandiaexchange on ebay. Fast shipping and good communication.

I spent quite some time on "Post ebay/web Hermes finds" and "Authentic this Hermes bag" and other reputable resellers' websites before making the purchase. Somehow I got the impression that her prices are more reasonable than some of the other famous sellers? Or maybe I never got to see the real deals before they were sold out! :p

Does anyone have any experience with l*orange*cheval?

Thanks.

This seller has been on eBay for a few years, and has had 6 different seller names, l*orange*cheval is just the most recent. We always recommend you do your own research, just so you get a complete picture. You can find the seller names in the feedback link in eBay, and click on the sellers id history. You can read more informaton on the Forum.

There is a negative inference when one says a seller has had 6 different user names on Ebay. This seller, from whom I have bought several handbags, has 100% positive feedback. I would suggest using Ebay feedback, where actual buyers make their educated comments.

Happy your own experience was positive, heatherlite.

I don't know why this seller keeps changing her eBay name, clearly it's her choice. I don't think it's a bad idea to search here, sometimes transactions on eBay don't happen for many reasons, and I am always of the view that the more information one has, the better. These are big ticket items, and I also wish the selling feedback were not private, it would give buyers a better idea of their seller.

A prospective buyer can evaluate all the information and make their own decision. Your post about your experience is welcome.

I respectfully disagree. The seller knows what kind of photos to post and yet persistently doesn't post views that would aid in authenticity. I have also had questions regarding her descriptions as to use/condition and frankly, as to authenticity on some of her bags.

As bababebi said, glad your experience was positive. A good track record is of course important, but every bag should be judged on its own merits.
