^ And I won't be giving $200k to a seller who spells Berkin or Sahpire. Not to be a spelling nazi, but if you're selling such an expensive item, at least bother to do a spellcheck, no?

^^ :shame: Well, *caugh*, I posted already and they just adviced to forget the website based on Thailand.. But I didn't get any authentication. I already decided to pass this website but then I got a very friendly reply from the seller and he told me he would never ever sell a fake bag and jeopardize his reputation, plus he always check every piece of the bags he receives.. He sells H because he is in love with the brand. So I bacame hopeful again. The Paypal will back you up but then again I don't know if I should take a big risk.. Any adivce??

Don't do it unless you are absolutely sure of the seller since we are talking about many thousands of dollars here. I don't think there's any backup or recourse in Paypal unless its transacted via ebay. Even then, there is too much stress and heartache if things were to go wrong.
Friendly seller or Hermes lover does not necessarily equate to authentic Hermes items. Haven't it been highlighted in another thread that certain celebrity/supermodel using fake birkins and even some reputable reseller-shops in HK & SG have both authentic & fake birkins sitting in the store commanding the same high price?!
Heed the advice of the experts in the authentication thread, better to err on the safe side!

Thanks kewave, for the words of wisdom. I guess I am quite desperate already to even consider buying from that website. But he sure does have a brilliant selection there and good pics! That orange and violet Kelly are just TDF.. I hope to find them some day on reputable re-sellers site or via PO from H. Thank you dear tPFers for keeping me on the safe side!! :hugs:

This is the part where the scam happens with scammers, although I'm not equipped to say this is definitely a scam site. What I do mean is that the sweet talk is a crucial tool to build confidence. Of course someone sounds nice and sincere. They're trying to part you from your money.

The prudent course is to stick with known sellers and not broadly gamble, especially with a high-value item, and to authenticate.
