Treatment in Hermes Stores

Just popping in her to report once again the Ala Moana Hermes boutique is perhaps the rudest and most off putting store of all the Hermes Boutiques around the world I've been in.
Shameful.
The Waikiki Hermes boutique is lovely - even with SAs who don't know me- but does that matter ?? they are friendly and interested in showing you service; but the Ala Moana - the opposite :
Almost anyone who stopped Ala Moana was chased away but cold and nothing short of rude behavior by the associates.
The Mall was full of shoppers from around the world -
Chanel
Prada
Vuitton
Gucci
All welcoming and full of buyers spending dollars and great service.
Hermes Ala Moana absolutely empty and no effort to welcome buyers-
Like a game by SAs to see how fast they could scare away anyone who entered
Crazy !!

OMG, that's a shame... when my DH and I were there for my birthday last year, I was so afraid of going in.. I chase myself away! hahaha
Ah... that's a bummer. Ala Moana is such a huge, busy mall with so much competition in the luxury market, you'd think H'd put their best foot forward. Especially since the clientele must be so varied since it's such a central tourist destination... were they ignoring customers and "too busy to help the likes of you" rude or being verbally snotty and condescending? I'm not on Oahu often enough to have a regular SA or even recognize them.

One lovely couple they were flat rude to.
I wanted to see RTW and no one offered to help
And when another lady wanted to see a scarf they didn't even offer to take it out of the case for her
I was incredulous !
I am shocked! I have been in there a few times, and they always seemed friendly. I was only looking at scarves, though.
Waikiki I thought was more formal , but last few times, have had friendly SAs there. In fact, when I was there in April, the SA remembered us from the previous September.
From FSH, full refund in 14 days (bag must be unused and in all original packaging.
3 month time limit for exchange for store credit with the same conditions as above.
I swapped a Kelly after 6 weeks at the FSH store in March this year.
May I ask what day of the week you were there? I know one of the SAs there who has been a long time employee and would be a little surprised if she was rude. She doesn't work there Fri and Sat though.

I have been reading positive and negative reviews about service/treatment at the Hermes boutiques in general. A lot of them have been negative. I had a horrible experience in my home store in San Francisco myself. My question is: is it worth the stress to shop at a luxury store like Hermes when they make it impossible for you to buy a product? I mean why would someone want to be treated poorly and spend money at a store when they can be respectfully treated elsewhere? I've done my fair share of shopping at Valentino and Chanel and I have never received poor service at any locations worldwide. Shouldn't service be consistent from store to store especially when buying luxury items? I'm not getting it really!

Good to know. The SA I know doesn't work those days and she is an old timer and has always been kind and professional. Sad to hear the store overall was a bad experience and sorry it happened to you.
