Yes, it is all in their system.
Thanks so much for responding. I am in a different state and thought I would go over to the h boutique here. I have never been to a flagship store so I was excited to see the store and maybe different or hard to find items. was very disappointed. Beautiful store but nothing exceptional. Firgured if they offered me a b or k I would be forced to accept it (giggles), they didn't, no worries.

If you walk in with confidence and a smile, and believe that you are entitled to excellent customer service, I think you stand a much better chance of getting it.

If I get crap service at *any* store from any SA, I remain polite but firmly push back until I am receiving appropriate customer service. H SAs are SAs. Asking them to do their job is not rude.

This makes sense! Last week I walked in a H store, wearing a cheapo worn out nylon jacket, worn out Chucks and a really awful backbag. I was asking for a certain scarf for my best friend as a gift. The one they had in the shop window. Even though I looked nothing like a regular customer (which I aren't, btw), the SA moved the shelves that were blocking the window, climbed around, trying to figure out, which design that certain scarf was. (which wasn't available any more).

I was impressed!
The same happened to my at LV. Same outfit, same attitude (asking for a certain product).

OP,
Maybe it helps to have a certain bag on your mind, ask for that and see how the visit evolves. :-)

PS: yes, I am aware that the OP started this thread years ago. ;-)

I often go into my local H looking like something the cat dragged in and most recently to the two H stores in Vegas looking like something the cat dragged in. I usually have my JJB diaper bags with me and plain looking clothes. I always get decent service. I think it helps to look at the SA walking in and say hi and smile. I also have something in mind to look at too (usually the latest scarf collection).

I can share something about treatment outside an Hermes store:
About 10 days ago I was Christmas shopping in Vienna/Austria with my spouse. And I also wanted to get my orange fix and see if there were any SS17 scarves available. So I checked out the windows and then wanted to enter the store. But the security man just made gestures and did not let me in. Then I noticed an asian looking couple next to the door that seemed to be waiting outside as well (in cold winter weather). Somehow I understand that they want the people who are inside already to have a nice shopping experience. But his behavior was just rude. OK, he might be used to tourists but he did not even try to speak either German or English.
So I queued like the nice girl I am. But then he did not let people in as others left the store and on the other side there was a somewhat elderly lady in a fur coat just cutting the queue and he did not say anything at all. Maybe a super rich regular?
I was furious and disappointed (and still very curious about the new season scarves) and it was quite hard to appear all cool about it towards the man on my side (who does not get the entire orange addiction at all). So we just left, I mastered to make something resembling a smile and asked him where he wants to go next...

Two years into my H journey there still is nothing like having a home store, "my SA" or an H relationship. Whenever I enter a store I am always a bit nervous about the treatment I am going to receive. Well, I enter with more confidence than at the beginning, but the worst is getting bad/aloof treatment when coming with somebody else.

It happened to me last month. I wrote a complaint email 3 hours after at once.....Whether they do some efforts to improve their security or not, I just wanted to let them their security staffs suck..

I am from Scotland. Have been to the store in Glasgow a few times. I wasn't happy with the service.

First time I asked a SA about the possibility of buying a Birkin bag. Was told one thing, left to think about it, came back and the SA denied she said what she did. My husband heard her too. Why deny what we heard you say? Did she have a think and figure I didn't fulfil a profile!?

Last time, I walked in, walked out. Wasn't interested and spent my money elsewhere.

The SA's in Dublin were lovely. Would go back there again, but not the Glasgow store.

I wasn't happy with Cannes H boutique either two months ago.
There were numerous foreign tourists there and it seems the SA wasn't interested in selling me anything when she heard I was a local and "only" asked for an Evelyne or a Picotin...She said there was no stock while keeping an eye on the ladies carrying croc Birkins and waiting to be attended to.
Same treatment at LV for the same reasons.
I went to Chanel instead and got a wonderful welcome ....

I totally understand your feelings, same here! I´m nervous too whenever i enter a store. Worst was my first time at FSH about a month ago, next day we went to Sevres and I felt very confodent and calm, an amazing experience with the friendly SA there though I didn`t buy anything. It depends on my "mood of the day", I guess!
