Treatment in Hermes Stores

Reading all those stories in this forum i am even more sure i will never ever in life spend my money at that store. If i am expected to pay that amount of money, i demand an out of this world costumer service which you can't seem to get at H. Might be just me though, but the main reason for me to buy luxury is the experience going to the store and being treaded extra special for an hour. I don't understand why people go to such lengths to spent their hard earned money on ****ty customer service for stuff that you can get elsewhere for less with great service.

I honestly have to say I have always been treated very well at Hermes. The only store in our country is 250 km from where I live but they readily reserves things for me that I can collect when it suits me. I have come to love their different kinds of products and the quality is excellent.

I have also had excellent service in various stores abroad.

That is great to hear that there are actually good shops out there from H with good service. Where are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

Sweden. It is a small store but I enjoy shopping there. I have also visited the store in Copenhagen (bought my first H there and got me hooked on the brand), H in Dubai Mall, H in BH on Rodeo Drive. All visits being pleasant with excellent customer service. The Dubai store even offered me a box of scarf tying cards and I did not make any big purchase, just a 90 silk scarf and invited me to a H exhibition.

That might be it tough, as germans aren't really know for being friendly, especially not in Frankfurt. So when you enter the store in Frankfurt you'll have to face the fact that you'll be treaded as if you are the biggest idiot on earth. They don't great you, if you aks them a question, you'll get the shortest answer possible and they turn your back on you imediatly after. They don't say goodbye. I hate that store with a passion. If i ever make it to sweden again, i'll sure to check the stores there though.

I had a "funny" moment at Rodeo Drive store. I wanted to get Paperoles scarf and the SA's were nowhere to be found, the only SA I ve seen was busy with the customer. So I waited and waited nearby. Few minutes later two male SA's come up to the SA that was busy and have a chat with her and then ask her if I was helped. She said "no", so they both silently and demonstratively turn around and leave, marching away in sync while the third SA (busy one) is laughing so hard and long that I could still hear her outside when I left. Her laugh was like from horror movies [emoji23] ( I know some say that the treatment depends on how you are dressed, that's not the case here lol I was not dressed overly sporty and casual and had Kelly bag on ) p.s. I didn't get upset or angry, I know it's not about me, it's just the people they are [emoji253] no wonder I never buy anything from them [emoji23]

Wow that is just rude. How you'd managed to stay clam is beyond me.

I have a fantastic sa at my home store. I actually found her from this forum - last year I searched this forum for a reccomendation in the new city I was moving to. Her name came up, I called and made an appointment, went to see her and bonded with her immediately. I can honestly say I have never been treated better. She goes out of her way to find me things, surprise me with goodies and has guided me on my collection. (I am new to Hermes) I have been to other Hermes boutiques but never received the knid of service that I get from her. I am pleased to say she has also become a friend as well. So, thank you TPFers!

Interesting - I have had the most pleasant shopping experience in Frankfurt, however the SA in Munich seemed extremely desinterested in selling to me...

I am curious: what would you consider out of this world customer service?

I was at the store the other day and had picked a twilly. Because of some tax refund document preparation of a tourist I had to wait for <5 minutes, and the SA offered me water, coffee, champagne, all of which I declined.

I think it all depends on the SA's, you happen to meet great one on your visit

Sure, and I was not the tourist with the tax refund, just waiting behind her in the line. It was one of my two regular stores, but my SA was a trainee whom I didn't know.
I found this treatment for a "cheapo" article very nice and was just wondering what the other member expected.

I usually like to be left to my own devices until I need help. Other than been greeted I dont really have an expectation of service. To me is just good manners to greet someone when you walk in. I was greeted in Hermes but when I was looking for someone to show me a twilly I couldnt find anyone. I ended up leaving after a few minutes. In Gucci I was shown the bags I asked to look at but was treated like I was wasting the SAs time.
