Treatment in Hermes Stores

Well, Paris is the best way; and talking like this about resellers is weird... I know at least two Hermes resellers in personal, and I was with them while buying birkin or Kelly, so there is no point to lie or sell fakes if resellers are famous.

I think there are already several threads on 'how to buy a birkin'. If you do a search, you should easily be able to find it. If you are not interested in anything else from the Hermes boutiques, for example their beautiful silks (scarves, shawls etc), jewelry, shoes, rtw...it actually may be better to get your dream bag from a reseller. The boutiques get such a very limited number of birkins and kellys that they reserve these for their regular clients who visit their stores regularly and appreciate and purchase many other product lines...not just b/k bags. Good luck!

Thank you for your input

You trust them because you know them. However, there are many resellers who were selling fake bags doubling the price for Hermes original bags.

I do visit their boutiques regularly as I mentioned. In addition, I appreciate the beauty of their other products which I buy the whole time.

I totally agree on this [emoji106][emoji4] It's like earning points [emoji12]

It helps to shop with one store and one SA consistently. If they don't know or remember you, it's much less likely that they'll think to call you when a Birkin becomes available. That's not to say you shouldn't keep trying whenever you travel, but then you are relying mostly on luck to be at the right place, right time, right SA. Good luck in your search and most importantly, have fun shopping while you travel!

I am a lurker here but wanted to post that our little Hermès in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg has such lovely associates. I have been helped by Anna and Marie, but everyone is so kind. It probably helps that I visit during weekday mornings, when almost no one is in the store. I bring my baby and they could not be more attentive and caring. Even when there are other customers present, and my baby is being very loud, the associates just say, ¨C´est normale!¨ and coo over him.
I usually frequent Chanel across the street and even though I spend much more at Chanel, and the associates there are friendly enough, they do not show the level of courtesy shown in Hermès.

+1, this is a major point and the ONLY WAY to be offered a B/K in the shortest amount of time IMO. My SA offered one to me after a few months of consistently buying mostly 90cm silk scarves and CDCs, never spent a huge amount at one time. Each store is different and I think the key is finding an SA with whom you can build a strong friendly professional relationship.

Hi everyone,

My H SA left her job, and the new SA called me couple days ago, and told me she took over my account. I had purchased over 13k in 2015 and was waiting for a Birkin. But the new SA told me the past purchasing is not counting anymore since now she's taking over my account, and I have to build up my account again, OMG, what can I do? Any suggestions? Please help, million thanks.

Oh no! That's not fair!!!

+100, especially easy when you find a lovely store where the whole staff is a delight!

I agree finding a lovely SA to establish a relationship with is the best way, as I think he/she will try to get you the bag with the minimal amount of spending and able to just buy what you really want. I had an experience where I had to spend a big sum of money, some on things I didn't really need/want, just to get a B (it was not in my home store and I was just in there for a day), so that's another way to go. But I don't suggest the latter; I did it then because I didn't know better and I had no SA anymore in my home store at that time.

Thank you ladies for all your great outputs. Really appreciate it.

Just have one more question
If I stick with a specific boutique & SA for a while, what is the proper way to get any bag I want? Should I ask my SA if they have the bag in stock? Or, should I wait for her/him to ask and offer?

I think express your great desire of the bag you want doesnt harm & AST show your appreciation of brand's philosophy & exclusivity.

I found Hermes is about experencing not just for trading.
Trust me, i only wanted a one "kelly bag"
But after 1 kelly bag.......rest is history.

Many years ago, I thought about your questions in great depth. The backstory is that after meeting my SA and consistently buying only items that I loved, she offered me a B ~ and I turned her down very nicely for a variety of reasons, none of them financial. Yes, I did.

A few months later after much convincing by my BFF that I really did need a B/K in my life I changed my mind. So, one day while I was making a purchase, I very gently verbally nudged my SA and said, "Maybe I do NEED a B in my life". Afterwards, I think that I bought three Bs that year with the SM's override approval. The rest is history.

So to answer your questions, my opinion is that after becoming friendly with your SA and establishing a consistent buying record, I think that a gentle, and I mean gentle suggestion that you might be interested in a B/K is the way to go. That is unless your SA asks you first!
