Treatment in Hermes Stores

Was traveling through Zurich Airport yesterday and have to say I have never been treated so poorly in any store, let alone an Hermès Boutique. I was beyond excited to stop by and see what they had and just to see the store in general, and was treated so coldly. The store was completely empty besides me and three associates (including manager) and none of them had any care to give me the time of day- despite carrying my Birkin 40 and LV luggage. I walked around and smiled at them endlessly, and they didn't even have the courtesy to smile back nor ask me if they could help. It was extremely off putting and not what I expect from the brand. Stay away at all costs! They have very few bags and a poor selection of scarves and jewelry. Just not worth your time.

I'd like to throw a plug out there for the Washington, DC City Center store- as a younger woman who is often dressed casually, I rarely get SAs falling over themselves to help me right off the bat. I walked in to the store this morning in jeans and a tank top, and all the SAs could not have been kinder or more helpful. One took me around the store, showed me everything from scarves to jewelry to shoes and even enquired after my bag wish list without my asking. For those of you who live close enough to visit this store regularly, I envy you!

I've heard nothing but good things about this location. It's now my closest location since they closed the Vienna (VA) store but I have yet to venture out there. I'm glad you had a good experience there!

I ventured out to the Beverly Hills Hermes boutique today for the first time. I was greeted promptly and the SA couldn't have been nicer. He showed me all the departments, answered all my questions and helped me on every floor. He even found a good restaurant for me to try as I was leaving and not familiar with the area. I couldn't have been happier with the service.
Do you happen to know his name? I would like to ask for him the next time I am there. Thank you in advance!

My SA may be leaving Hermes... Does that mean I need to start from scratch with my quota toward the Kelly again? I've been waiting for my Kelly, and i have good standing for it, just waiting for the right combo to come along. But now, if my SA is leaving, am I going to lose all my quota of previous purchases toward the Kelly and have to start fresh again with a new SA?

It could depend where you shop ... what store?

I had an awful experience while visiting the H boutique in NYC. They had an Evelyne behind glass and I wanted to see it. I asked the first sales associate I saw for assistance, she gave me a smirk and walked away... She never came back, nor did anyone else try to help me. I don't think your age or what you wear should make any difference, but I was dressed in a nice leather moto jacked, jeans, LV bag that costs a lot more than the Evelyne and my 3.5ct solitaire e-ring...

In addition to mistikat great suggestion... perhaps also ask to introduce to the SM if your regular SA is allowed to do that?

I don't think how you dressed matter that much... perhaps it was a busy day at boutique and the SA you asked was in the middle of helping another customer?

I always go and wait by the cash register and ask for the next available SA to page my SA for me (if I can't find her on the floor), if you don't have one yet then ask the SA working behind CR to direct you to one that is available to assist you ... SAs are busy on the floor and I don't want to interrupt them while they are helping others. Just a suggestion ...

i have read and re read pages here at the forum to prepare for my paris trip and so concluded that maybe george v store was not worth going into... i was in paris last week and somehow ended up in the area of this store... i told my friend lets not bother but since the other 2 stores SAs were so nice, he said, lets just go in..
the moment i uttered the question if any Bs or Ks... the SA gave a little laugh and " no, madame" with a shake of her head... i thought " forewarned is fore armed"... i left and went to the rue de sevres store..a different planet

I am guessing the store keeps track of your purchases; you might want to ask your SA who she recommends you work with before she leaves. Get her to broker the introduction and explain what you like, what you are interested in buying, etc.

I'm on good term with the SM, and other SA like me although I never purchase anything from them, because I always like to chat with them and show them respect and learn about Hermes.

I'm just concerened because I though the purchase quota would still need to be met with each SA before they give you a Kelly?
