It was a few pages back before Lee came back to authenticate. People were giving their opinion that were not authenticators. If a regular authenticator isn't available for a few days things start to run amuck

I guess I didn't go back far enough...I'll have to look again....I haven't really seen anything too bad lately...A random authentication here and there but nothing what it used to be....I was getting so confused as to who was supposed to be authenticating....
One thing we would like to add to the Authenticate This threads to start is having a 500 post minimum requirement before someone can authenticate.
We believe having a posting minimum will not only deter people who don't have the proper knowledge to authenticate, but will also give members a chance to get accustomed to the forums and areas, see how they work, and then if they meet that requirement of 500 posts and they have the proper knowledge to help authenticate they can step in.
I'd like to add this to each of the threads and we can start modding in this way going forward. We do think it will help with some of the new members authenticating issues. I am sure many new members may have a lot of knowledge, but I think for the comfort of the community and to learn the ropes, the members should be very comfortable here and have been here a while before they can begin.

Yes the LV AT thread has improved but things go awry when the authenticators aren't on 24/7.
I'm adding this to the AT threads first page over this weekend, but we have been following along with this and removing authentications from members with low post counts or members that do not seem to show extensive brand knowledge.
As long as people report, then we are ok! We see it and handle it, which is what I did when I got reported posts today!
There has been a statement posted on the ATLV thread requirements...I am really happy to see you are back authenticating! It was sad to read that you were having a hard time and decided to stop...

I think perhaps your expectations may be a bit askew.......24/7 authentications? Is that promised anywhere? It has always been my understanding that the AT's get to each item when they can. I guess it would depend on their time zone, etc. as well as the time zone for the person requesting?
