i have the carine bag and i absolutely adore it! it isn't too hard to get in and out of at all...just something you have to play with a bit...but the buckles on the bag are amazing! it is so well made :) i'll try and post pics a little later today if i get a chance

i did something really, really bad last night...i ended up getting the flap over bag from bergdorf's...it's amazing!! i bought the same size as jen aniston's bag (the smaller size)...it's not heavy at all...so much lighter then my carine bag...and it's so yummy!! it was love at first sight...the smaller size is perfect for everything that i carry from day to day...there are so many ways to wear it too and the strap is really adjustable....you can wear it as a longer messenger bag as well!! i'll post pics of both tom ford bags when i get a chance:)

:wtf::faint:That price is pretty high considering the wear they describe
there is a bit of wear on the bottom and under the flap, as well as marks on the very faintly textured leather of the bag

I mean, if you could afford to spend $3500 on a bag, I don't think it would be that big a deal to spend $400 more in order to get a brand new one.

I've been looking for a gently used version of this bag for a while now -- all of the ones that have been listed on ebay have been fake, including a version of the bag without the flap. I was shocked that the fakers had gotten the counterfeit versions of this bag so close to the actual design (there's a website that even brags about their "Grade A+" quality replicas -- going so far as to say that they used an actual TF bag in order to get the fake bags to scale!). It took me weeks of studying the pics the sellers provided and sent me and ones my girlfriend took of her bag for me to compare, but I finally found the differences and the fakers have been consistent in TWO things that are wrong! (even the "Grade A+ replica bag created to scale using an actual TF bag managed to get these two things wrong!)

If anyone has contemplated buying one off ebay (or maybe they already have!), let me know if you need help confirming whether or not its real!

Yes I agree. I could not pay that much for a bag in that condition but I am sure someone will.

I would just really hate to find out that someone bought one of those fakes
I know how tempting it is -- I almost pulled the trigger more than once, but my girlfriend kept telling me she just had a bad feeling about all of them -- then we finally figured out why!!

I know at least three auctions ended with winning bidders -- I hope they weren't tPFers!!

(do you really think someone will pay that much for a used bag? I just think that if someone can afford $3500, they would probably rather pay the addtl' $400 to get it new, KWIM?)

the smaller flap, the one that is listed on ann fabulous finds is 3500 actual price for a new one...that's what i paid at bergdorf's...the larger size is 4000...jen is carrying the smaller one

illuvmybags, it would be wonderful if you could PM me about the 2 things you've spotted that the fakers consistently get wrong! I've been looking for this bag too, and always get so confused when i see one pop up on ebay...it's almost enough to drive me to forking out the full $4k (i hear the price has gone up to $4.4?!?) from the tom ford boutique just to be 100% sure i'm getting the real thing :( I'd appreciate the help so much, i just can't figure out the tell-tale signs on my own!

Are the bags not availablein Tom Ford boutiques now???? I would buy directly from boutique rather than paying top dollar price for a defected and used bag or buy a fake....no matter how good the fake is ...other people might not notice from far and may think you are carrying a branded bag but you can never fool yourself and will not enjoy the bag .....because the bag is fake and quality is bad. I once bought grade A+++ copy of a certain LV bag and had to send it right back and lost 20% of money but i knew i would not enjoy it and it wa smy last time i ever thoght about the fake....I would rather save and buy original than buy fake....IMO:smile1:

Are you sure that's the Small? They told me it was the large (and it says it in their title):confused1:

that's the same size as mine...and mine is the smaller version...i paid 3500+ tax from bergdorf's...the larger one is much larger then that one...the flap part is much larger as well...

I wonder if they would lower the price then. I just checked my messages and he definitely told me it was the large
