Tom ford flap over zip bag

I tried the red at Neimans, and ended up having them order me the black. Most of my bags are Hermes and Bottega Veneta, so I am pretty particular about leather quality, and I have no complaints about my Jennifer.
The red is bright, but beautiful. For me the deciding factor was the black being more versatile for travel and more "moto-chic." I have only had my bag a couple of months, and used it less than a dozen times. So far it looks the same as when I bought it, despite already banging a few door jambs when wearing cross-body. I don't find it heavy at all. My only minor issue is that when the strap is at its shortest, it is still a couple inches longer than I would like for shoulder carry (and I am relatively tall at 5'8"). It works much better cross-body.

Please let me know how much you like it when it arrives, Coach Lover! I'm torn between this one and the real Tom Ford bag in red, which I just saw in London... but the price difference is enormous and maybe I'd be happy with the Karen Millen instead. Do let me know when it arrives!

I finally got my hands on the Tom Ford Jennifer but was given the WRONG ONE!! I really wanted the cross body plain strap but instead received the zip embellished shoulder strap. It is very difficult for me to return the bag. Should I pay someone to make a cross body strap for me? Or is that tacky and will make people think I am carrying a fake? What would you do?
