Tom ford flap over zip bag

Just got the large size Jennifer with shorter zipper strap. I wanted the medium, but Niemans didn't have it, the SA said the large is the "medium" with the shorter zipper strap. Was there ever a smaller version with the shorter zipper strap? I'm liking the fact that my Samsung note 3 fits perfectly in the pocket under the flap. By the way, the flap pocket goes all the way down the bag. For my 5'2 frame, the gals at Niemans liked the bottom zipper closed to make the large not seem so huge on me; reminds me of the Med. Chloe Marcie style. The leather on my bag is thick and very durable, doesn't have that "buttery" feel that some handbags have.
I love this bag so much I have 2. I posted pic of my medium before from 3 years ago when it first came out. I also bought a white in mini to wear across the body. I love the big zipper on the strap on my mini.
I love it. I like the idea of a small bag that can be worn across the body. There's an inside pocket where I can my cash and credit cards. On the outside I usually keep my room key when I'm traveling. The flap is so easy to get stuff in and out but still secured enough.
No, but I did see at the Bellevue Nordies a new Tom Ford area for accessories. I spoke with the folks there, and they said it may become a future thing if the brand does well at Nordstroms. No guarantee, but the Tom Ford station was new. I told them they missed out on a sale, had to go to Nieman's. Would have preferred to purchse at Nordies since it's where I go more frequently.
Can anyone comment on the differences/pros/cons between the regular adjustable strap versus the zipper strap? The zipper strap looks so cool but it's not adjustable, right? Is it super heavy?
I can only speak for the large flap with the shorter zipper strap. I just purchased a Marc J. Lady Moto handbag to use as my knock around bag - it has a wide strap as well. I have to put an Ergopad on it to keep it from slipping off my shoulder: the leather is stiffer and doesn't conform as well to the shoulder. The Tom Ford strap (shorter) is padded, the leather more supple than the handbag, conforms well to the shoulder, and has a decent amt. of material underneath that prevents slippage = I think it's the same material as the inside. It's super comfy. The TM bag is heavy, I can't imagine using a thinner strap. Not sure about the smaller sized TM handbags, that may not be as much of an issue. For the weight of the large sized - I'm glad I chose a shorter, padded strap for it, I really like the mini as a crossbody, and wonder if it is too long for a crossbody for a petite person. I wish I had tired on all of the styles. Hopefully someone else can chime in....The zipper straps are not adjustable.
^ Thanks, leswarri. I stopped by my local NM and wowza, they had all the sizes in tons of colors. So glad I did though because I don't love it nearly as much in person -- the leather is so stiff. Getting in and out of the main compartment isn't easy. The messenger length strap is not adjustable, and it's just too long on me (I'm 5'5"). Oh well! Saved me $3k.
My mini has zipper strap and my MM has regular strap. The zipper strap works great for the mini because it gives it a bit more character. However it would probably look too much on the MM. You're correct, the zipper strap is not adjustable and I don't find it heavy.
I was innocently *cough* browsing the web (evilbay) recently and stumbled upon this beauty: Coccinelle Paloma bag. As I can't justify paying almost 3k for the TF version I am more than happy with my new bag! Coccinelle is a great brand, I have one bag that is 12 yo and still in great condition!
