I agreed, VS2 are the best bet. You won't see any flaws with tiffany's VS2, even with a loop, it'll be very very hard to find them..... I think 1.04 G is a good ring, and years down the road, you can always upgrade with them. I don't think VVS1 is worth the price differences at tiffany. I started with 1.06 with them as well.

Here is the info on the vvs2 ( I made a mistake, I thought it was vvs1)

1.04 I VVS2
Precision of cut: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Polish: Very Good

I am leaning towards this one a little because it's under the budget

^that is a good choice, make sure you travel far to get to Tiffanys, they should have a few for you to select from. See the stone first. But get a couple. I would even consider 1.2 I vs2 if you like size rather than color. When you see all the stones and size and different color side by side, only then will you know what you want. Now if you have a lot of 'color diamond prejudice', stick with G. But I would advise you to see H and I stones from Tiffany.

What I'm worried about in the end, is that I fell in love with a 1.22, and I think a 1.07. Now there isn't a huge difference in 1.04 to .07, but I would be able to tell! That isn't what matters at all, but I'm so specific that if I say I love that ring, it's that exact ring. So if it's the 1.22 it's all 1.22's, or 1.07's... Has anyone else had this issue?
I think in the end, budget should come first, then shine. It's still in the range that I like it in. So I shouldn't be worried. But I am! It's like for example the novo I love but in a 2ct+, same with the solitaire, I dont like under 1.5 on my hand.
My finger size is just under 5 but since I swell often 5 it is... lol

Girl, I know what you mean. On this thread I've seen all kinds of compromise. It;s got to be a tiffany. It's got to be what you like. You need to be happy. It's a tough one.

If you want Tiffany you're going to have to sacrifice something, and it sounds like size. HOWEVER, if you'd go down to a VS1, you'd probably get the 1.22.

I know, my SA said nothing that low is coming in in the next two months! They have something in an h in the next two weeks but she has no info on that what do ever. It sucks! But we are going to talk about it. At this point, I dont really want to wait, but I don't think we will do the upgrade, so the perfect ring might come along soon... Waiting is ok too... I hope

So this is what I'm leaning towards I think, and opinions will help!
1.04 G VS2
Precision od Cut: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Polish: Excellent

Do you mind posting the price for this stone in US? Is this the Tiffant setting or something else?

I think G is great with VS2 BUT...are you ok without 3 EX?

It's just over 14,000.00
I don't really know enough to say that I'm uncomfortable. That isn't something I've ever looked at... Would you mind not have all 3? I thought I knew stuff but my boyfriend is the one that knows... Not sure if he knows about these new 3's!

I'm absolutely in love with the soleste, but does anybody think that a solitaire is more classic? I'm really worried that it will be outdated at some point. I'm in love with everything about it, so I wonder if the halo will make it not so classic... If that makes sense??

While a halo usually has a very traditional look, I do think there will come a time when it falls out of fashion. A solitaire never falls out of fashion. But then again, that's what resets and upgrades are for :p.

I'm so in love with the soleste! Maybe my boyfriend and I should just take one more look. The problem is, I prefer the solitaire in a 2ct + ( would LOVE a 3ct) but that's not reasonable right now. We would rather spend that starting our lives together. I also love the coverage the soleste gives me.

I personally prefer 3Ex and I think that's what "presence" means to Tiffany &Co. Correct me if I am wrong...I think 3EX will give you the best sparkle possible.

We didn't know there was this website that you can plug in all the % shown on the certificate to find out if the diamond scores less than 2 or not. If it's less than 2, it's an IDEAL diamond. My diamond is 1.9 so just under 2. The smaller the # the better.

Hmm I have the SA doing a search for the solitaire as well and we will hopefully take a look tomorrow at some point. I feel like I need pictures of the rings on my finger which they never let us do... Hopefully we can get some tomorrow!
