Another diamond which is good came up.
It is 1.32 h vss1 but cost additional 3100usd.
The scoring in hca 1.9 , it is exellent for cut, polish, symetry.
Light return excellent
Fire very good
Scitilisation very good
Spread excellent

Do u think it is worth paying xtra 3100? For the above spec with smaller diamond?

VVS clarity isn't worth $3100

I agree with this! IMHO it's not necessary to go about VS2 on a Tiffany stone.

The spread will make it appear larger if I'm correct, right Amy? So the fact that it's a few tenths of a point smaller will not matter much.

If you like the stats better it's good I guess! But no I wouldn't pay that much more to go from 1.9 to 2.2 say.

The spread will make it appear as big as is possible for it's carat weight.

I would not pay that much more for a VVS2 and a smaller carat size, regardless of spread unless having a VVS2 clarity is important.

hi everyone, i have decided to take the tiffany setting due to the low maintenance and also, the hw that i could afford unfortunately is not in my size! if it is in my size...i would get it instantly. too bad it is not. i dont want to go through the trouble of bringing the ring to other saloon to resize it up 2 sizes~ who knows what will happen to the durability after resizing. :) thank u all for ur supports all these while. who ever has the finger size 4.5 and would like to get this ring, it is from the hw in dallas. it is a really pretty ring.
now i need ur help ladies... between these 3 which one will u choose and why?

This is kind of out of the topic but is it possible for you to post the pricing for those stones in US? Sometimes when I look at the diamonds, I also think pricing is very importand. Like...is it worth it to go up in clarity for $$ money?

I personally wouldn't pay $3000 extra to get the VVS2. To be honest, my Tiffany diamond isn't the best colour nor clarity but ppl who have seen it all think it's DEF and VVS1 or VVS2.

Finally my husband bought the diamond!
Before he went to the store to see the diamonds, i am dead set on the 1.35 h vs2 considering all the advices here and also it cost so much lesser.
But nothing beats seeing it with our own eye. When my husband reach there, he ask to view the 1.35 vs2 under the microscope. N to his disappointment, there is a long bubble n 2 feather lines directly in the center of the Stone! Of coz u cant see this with the naked eye. But gosh a vs2 in tiffany is so low standard. I know vs2 wont be perfect but i thought still acceptable. So he view a few vs2 and a vs1, all have feathers in the middle!
Really cant believe this is coming from tiffany. We end up getting the vss1 and pay more!
I will post mod pic when i received it end of this week. :)
Thank u all again for helping me choose. N u all r right! Have to see the diamonds in person. After seeing... Decisions will change. I am satisfied n happy now with the vss1.

I just commented on your fb post. I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to see it either!!!

Thank u.. :)
It is really a hard decision to make as i dont want to pay that huge jump for the clarity.
But then i really cannot accept the 3 flaws in the center of the stone, if it were at the sides i will pick the vs2. I know it is silly when u cannot see with the naked eye but i will regret and can't rest in peace if i choosed the vs2. :) we took whole morning n afternoon to decide which diamond.the sa also panic when my husband saw some flaw in the vss1 and she quickly call their in house gia person to come inspect. Luckily it is only dirt. She brings the ring to behind n clean it...n when view again, it is totally clean n crystal clear. Phew! I hope the diamond is really nice n worth paying for the price jump. I wonder how the si1 will be in tiffany.. I assume it will be even worse.

Well I am glad you have a stone you'll be happy with! Looking forward to pics.

I want to point out something though: you're upset over Tiffany stones rated VVS and VS having flaws in the center of the stone under a microscope. Because a microscope is not used to grade clarity, a 10x loupe is, that's not a fair assessment of the stone's clarity or worth any upset. So under a microscope you will see flaws at nearly every grade below a VVS1, regardless of where you go, Tiffany or otherwise. A clarity grade is based on size and location and type under 10x magnification, not 60x as many microscopes are set at.
