then it's something new. all items from my first bag expired at the same time, though some of them were reserved 24/7

Same thing - I will have to check to see if the expiration date has changed.
I wonder why they are opposed to decreasing the hold time. They will never make any high dollar Luxe sales if they do not change this policy. I have some handbags that would sell today if they could just be made available.

If you haven't already you should complain to them about the policy. I have complained several times but I am just one person.
I was told that items that get held in carts "eventually sell better" than items not held in carts so people just might need more time to decide. But obviously it's because those are the most desirable items so people are trying to hoard them for themselves until they have money to buy or whatnot. If people couldn't constantly re-reserve the items for 24 hours then people who had cash to buy immediately could have a chance. I think they are really looking at it backwards. At least if they don't want to lower the 24 hrs to say 1 hr, they could prohibit people from doing consecutive holds. If you don't buy in 24 hours, someone else gets a chance. Period.
Claire also mentioned "other considerations" but I don't know what those are. No other online business allows this kind of hold without a deposit as far as I am aware.

I had one pair of boots in my first bag that were reserved non stop and nobody bought them till the end:(. I've just sold them on eBay for higher price. Not sure if it was same person all the time, but it's really weird how some items stuck in someone's carts forever and other ones are not reserved even once during all the time.

I think their selling timeline changed. Last night I randomly checked and two more of my items said “sold”. I don’t know when they sold, but I got the email notification for one just now and the other one still says “sold” but have not been notified of it yet. I may be mistaken, but I thought previously earnings were available to cash out a few days after an item sold. Now it is about 12-13 days for my last few sales. One is a handbag, so it should be final sale, but maybe that ~12 day time is to see if the buyer returns?

nope it's always been 14 days after it's sold. at least since I first shipped my first bag:)
they don't update sales and don't send notification e-mails properly. sometimes it takes days till the item is marked sold (for at least couple of days it remains "reserved" in your list, but "sold" when you click on the listing) and 1 - 2 more days to get e-mail about it:) I just manually check each reserved item several times a day, I know I'm crazy

also it doesn't matter if it's returned or not, you know they handle returns and it's not your problem:smile:
How funny! I think I may just not have been notified of my earlier sales until it was almost time to release the money :)
Thank you so much for the info.
I wasn't sure if the part about them handling returns was only through the promo period. I have to say that is a great perk if it continues on (regardless of other serious issues we have had so far).

Well, the customer service at ThreadUp is better than TRR. I sent TRR a question about a handbag I wanted to purchase on Monday and heard back today. It is obviously a typo, but I was laughing about when I can expect a response [emoji16]
