Thoughts on Saint Laurent YSL Envelope Bag?

Gosh, I really want this bag! Black with silver hardware or black on black. I’m just torn between the small and medium sizes. I want it as an evening bag for nights out, which is why I’m leaning toward the small one, but the medium looks good too! I’m 5’5” and 135lbs. I don’t carry a ton with me when I go out. Just small items like 1-2 lipsticks or glosses, a small wallet, sometimes my keys and car fob, hair comb, blotting sheets for my face, a small hand sanitizer and my phone! Any thoughts?

I have small and it holds a short wallet, phone, key and key fob, and one lipstick, but nothing more. It would probably be a good idea to try it out at the store if you have more than that. Otherwise it is a great bag.

Thank you for sharing! The closest stores to me are quite a drive or flight away so I can't just pop in, unfortunately. From your description, it sounds like the small might be just right for what I need! For reference, one of my go-to evening bags is the LV Eva, which doesn't hold much more than what you've described. If you just happen to take yours out and are able to snap a picture to share on here, I'd be forever grateful!

So I was looking at the saint laurent website and what I have is currently called “medium” . It is the 9.5 inch width and 6.8 inch height. When I got it it was called small.

Thanks so much for the picture! That’s interesting about the change from small to medium. The smallest version seems to be newer. Maybe there were just this size and the large before?

Yes that's correct. The Saint Laurent YSL Envelope bag now comes in size Small, Medium and Large. The Small was introduced this year and fits only the essentials. Your Medium is a great size for day and night. The large is a great all day bag.

That will be super helpful. I am torn between the Lou Lou and the envelope bag. I have a Gucci marmont mini and I can’t fit my half wallet and mini Pochette side by side and it annoys me lol. So I need something bigger, but slightly

The loulou holds way more. This is what fits in mine plus my iPhone x
