Thoughts on Saint Laurent YSL Envelope Bag?

Hi highend, how do feel about the overall look and size of your Medium size? Does it fit quiet a bit and does it work as a daytime bag too? I’m having difficult time deciding between medium and large. Thank you

Yes, I find the medium to be similar in capacity to the Lou camera bags (tho, of course you may be able to stuff a lil bit more into the Lou since it's less structured). So, a great size for everyday use.

I'm eyeing the large size as well; however, as I have a black giant Jamie (which I find to be similar in size), I'm opting for a non-traditional color. It's actually the other color I was debating when getting my medium envelope. Now that I see it's also available in the large, it seems like fate. I'm waiting to see if the large will be discounted in some fashion before purchasing, but will likely post a pic if I do.

Oh I didn’t realise you had the Giant Jamie, I cant remember seeing pics. I might have to look at the Jamie thread again. It’s such a beautiful size and style. I too want the large YSL envelope.

Hi, I think this is the Saint Laurent YSL Envelope Bag in Tri Quilted. I personally love it! It’s so classic in design especially in black and gold combination. I think the quilting makes it more unique and stand out.

It can be worn day and night and can be both edgy or ladylike depending on your outfit.

I can definitely see myself adding one to my collection soon. Problem is I have too many YSL bags on my Wishlist haha .

I love it too. I am drawn to structured bags. I just need to figure out if I want it in medium or large.

Well, I finally found my medium envelope. I stopped by the boutique looking for something else and instead walked out with this slice of perfection!

....it's the new camel color released this season (2622) referred to on ysl.com as Oak although I've seen it referenced as Cork elsewhere. Love the warmness of the shade that will be a nice year-round neutral.

I really like that color, I also like the dark green and dark tea. The dark tea looks green also but tea is brown. So I'm confused???
Anyways, how is the camel (Oak) color holding up? I'ma always worried about stains and color transfer because I wear a lot of denim.

Hi, sorry I just saw your post. I think I will be getting the Large size. It will be a great day bag but I think it would work just as great for night too because it’s so elegant. I love the proportions on the large size too.

gold of silver IMO... the black doesn't pop enough for how nice the hardware is.
