Thoughts on Saint Laurent YSL Envelope Bag?

I’ve had the black/silver in the medium size since the spring. I love it!!
The bag is holding up really well and looks like new. No signs of wear to the leather/glazing on the sides or corners. No scratches on the hardware other than the magnetic closure.
I’ve only had the bag a week or so but it’s super sturdy and I’ve had no issues.
...this croc print one just popped up in the Farfetch sale, and you all "convinced" me to buy it
I hope it's not too similar to the large croc Kate I recently purchased....it seems to have a longer chain and smaller body than the Kate, but we'll see when she arrives!

So...I received it yesterday, but this particular version wasn't to my liking.
Even though it has some texture with the croc print, everything was a still a bit too uniform such that it just looks like a black blob when I tried it on. So...I'll be shipping it back on Monday, but I figured I'd take a few comparison shots to similar styles in my collection to help those who may be ordering without trying on person.(...to large Kate)

So, IMO, this style is most similar in size and shape to the medium College with the main differences that the Envelope has the open interior (similar to the Kates) and no top handle (but does have the long double chain strap). They both have the exterior back pocket that is usually a plus for most people.
While, this particular combo didn't work for me, I'm not ruling out the medium Envelope in the future!
Well, I finally found my medium envelope. I stopped by the boutique looking for something else and instead walked out with this slice of perfection!
....it's the new camel color released this season (2622) referred to on ysl.com as Oak although I've seen it referenced as Cork elsewhere. Love the warmness of the shade that will be a nice year-round neutral.
