Thoughts on Saint Laurent YSL Envelope Bag?

Hello all,
I'm considering on purchasing the Black Envelope TriQuilt as my first YSL bag. I was wondering if you lovely ladies could help me choose the size and hardware
I really want this to be a versatile daily bag that can go from day to night, casual and dressy. I would be using it when I'm out traveling in other cities, so I'd need it to hold a decent amount and be able to go crossbody. I'm 5'0, 95 lbs and I wear both gold and silver jewelry interchangeably.
Would the medium size be able to hold daily necessities? I would always use a long wallet for travel, but I've seen YT videos of this bag comfortably fitting a long wallet with plenty of room. I'd bring my LV mini pochette, keys, external battery, mini bottle of Advil, hand sanitizer, and my Iphone XS.
Gold or silver? I'm not really into the So Black craze. My gut reaction is get gold, but almost alllll my bags have gold HW and my Chanels are black/gold combo too haha.
I'm also concerned that this gold might be a bit *too* yellow but I'm not sure.

it doesn’t expand because it’s very stiff bag. I carry my usual Chanel card holder, LV key holder, Altoid mints, air pod case, hand cream, sanitizer and it’s still roomy. Keep in mind the medium is only 2.3 inches in depth

Congrats. Enjoy it in great health. This bag is everywhere on the Internet. I love the design, but somehow look funny with structured bags. Otherwise I'd get one too.
