Thoughts on Coach's Fall bags

I actually like A LOT of the bags! I love the edgy quality they all seem to have. Remember that we're seeing the most inspired pieces of the collection, and like they always do, they will probably backfill the rest of the line with the more classic pieces.

I like a number of them too, and I am sure not the target demographic!

Is this one of the new Coach fall bags? Because I actually quite like this. I found it today in my magazine.

Pretty sure it'll have compartments, though. Darn.
Between the Coach and the MK shown on this page, the Coach looks more stylish and it is cheaper.

I like the cognac but wish the grommets were done to the scale of this one from the official fall preview thread, post 4. For my taste they're a bit overwhelming on this bag.

Some of it is okay, but I agree many of the pieces aren't anything I "need" to have. Plus I agree with others that they will be priced out of my budget. I pretty much stick to the bags that are $300 and less, and only buy with a discount. If it costs more than that, I just won't think about buying it.

I guess I'm in the minority when I say I love several of these bags. I'm already socking away pennies for this beauty:

But then again I'm 22 so I suppose I'm part of the demographic they're trying to reach?
Actually, I would like that bag if it weren't for those...whatever they are, stuck all over it.

While I think there are some fun bags out there, I don't think I will be ready to spend that much on a bag which I might lose interest in or get tired of because there are just too many "trendy" details. I'd rather go for a classic borough which will be classy for years to come.

I agree. Much of the beauty of the Borough comes from its clean, classic design. I think that adding grommets or any bling to it detracts from that original design.

I hope I don't love anything. I could deal with just using what I have and maybe getting a couple from other designers to branch out in my collection. So far, from what I've seen, they are not my style at all.

I like alot of them from the preview, but I still think I will have to see them in person before I really know for sure. I really don't know how I'm feeling about all the fringe.......although I'm seeing alot of fringe detailing across the board with other designers/brands. Gucci already has several bags out with fringe. I've seen them in MK, too. I guess it's going to be all the rage this fall, but I worry it will be a quick passing style trend, and I certainly don't need a closet full of fringed saddle bags hanging around once all the fringed madness dissipates!

I am firmly anti-fringe. On anything. Ever.

I am, however, definitely pro-grommets and pro-studs -- always work with my punk rock lite aesthetic.

Just...argh. I didn't like the colors of the studwork on the Haleys and Duffles, and now I like the grommets on these bags, but not the shapes of the bags themselves!

But it's all out of my price range so I guess it doesn't matter. I'll be over here in the corner pouting if anyone needs me.
