I got mad with Coach when I walked into one of their stores one time, looked for a leather bag and was wandering around kind of lost when an SA said (looking pointedly at my handbag which was a Dooney) "Maybe you'd like to look for a cheaper bag?"

Now I feel unhappy to buy a Coach even if I see it in TJMaxx for a fraction of its original price.

Oh, and please don't forward this thread to anyone at the company, or make copies and send it. Vlad and Megs don't like things like that happening.
Why shouldn't it be forwarded to Coach? The consensus is that we've been paying an average of $400 a bag and receiving terrible treatment by rude SAs. If I were running a company, I'd WANT to know about problems like these. There are a LOT of unhappy customers right now.

Because once upon a time some sort of situation regarding items on sale in a store happened (I cannot remember when, or I'd post the link) where people were going to mention tPF and some specific threads to a company - Neiman Marcus or Bergdorf I think. Vlad was not happy about involving tPF, and using tPF as a sort of 'bargaining tool' in a personal dispute.

Any more information than that I cannot recall, but if anyone wants to mention tPF in any document to be sent to a company they would be better off consulting Vlad or Megs before writing anything, since it is their forum.
 
Then what's the point of having a forum? Or free speech for that matter. That's ridiculous.
This has NOTHING to do with bargaining for discounts. This is about womens spending hundreds, and sometimes thousands of dollars on Coach purchases and being treated shabbily. This is about poorly constructed bags. This is about purchasing a bag for full price, only to see the exact same bag end up at the outlet (weeks later) for a fraction of the original price.
This is ALSO about price hikes at Coach ($10.00 across the board for existing styles) and NOT being informed about it, which is against the law.
If I, as a CEO of a publicly traded company, wasn't informed about problems like these, I would not be doing the job that I was hired to do so, and that CEO has a fiscal responsibility to the shareholders of that company to do so. So if someone here wants to tip off the appropriate persons about exactly what is going on with some boutique stores and horrible customer service, so be it.
And if any member of this forum wants to print out or forward the complaints (numerous) of other members experiences with Coach, that's their right. End of story.

couldn't it just be mentioned that its from an online forum without mentioning that its tpf?

the fact that it is on tpf doesn't really have anything to do with what we're talking about. we could be on any board
 
I think that Coach needs to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. I'm really saddened by what happened. How crappy. Who does that to people? I work retail and I treat every customer equally with my attentiveness and respect. I don't care if they're a clearance rack shopper or if they're strictly buying the new merchandise. This really gets under my skin. Screw you, Coach. Meanies!!!
 
I am very sorry that this happened to you. I don't think anyone has said anything that I wouldn't say...unfortunately this happens to a lot of people and most of the time no one does anything about it and that's the problem...when people get that out of line with a customer and think it's ok then something has to be done...I have had this happen to me not from Coach over the phone (because i just dont call them that much) but from other companies that made me so mad that I also cried and complained to management about those particular person(s)...please don't let a few people make you want to stop buying from a brand that you really love...but I believe that a formal complaint is definitely in order and the people who were all involved need to be fired.PERIOD. a good company would have 0 TOLERANCE for a bunch of F:cursing::censor: A:censor: who don't know what the meaning of customer service is....please write a letter to all the top people in Coach as other tPF members mentioned...maybe they will bring up your letter in their next meeting if they know what's good for the company...to me, you spend way too much money on their stuff for that bull:censor: and for that kind of money you could definitely take your business elsewhere but i know you already know that these kind of rude people are everywhere unfortunately...yeah probably just jealous because you can afford to buy that much from them...:smile1:

I guess the 'power of the name' of tPF is that it is a large and well-known forum with an extensive membership.

If you just say 'a forum' - i mean, there are all kinds of forums with like 3 members total...JMO.

If you put yourself out there on a forum and discuss things of this nature, then you cannot control what others do with that information. I could care less if someone take my own recent experience with Coach and sends it off to someone at Coach. If I wanted to keep it quiet or a secret, I would not have posted it in the first place. And that should be the rule of thumb. You don't know what a person is going to do with your posts, and if you have any doubt, you shouldn't post.
For me personally, I'm writing my own letter of disgust with my experience at a boutique, and will voice my protest with Coach by way of not purchasing their products anymore. As fas as other members of tPF informing Coach Corp. about their own problems with Coach, they're entitled to do their own thing and if someone wants to take my experience and include it with a bunch of other posts and threads about bad service, rude SAs, defective bags, price hikes, unfair business practices, whatever, so be it. I don't care.

Since it was Megs who made the post that I have quoted, please ask her. When I wrote to LV corporate I respected her wishes and did not include mention of other members, their posts and/or tPF.
 
LOL oops I reposted the same thing. But I agree with Merika... Megs & Vlad definitely don't want us mentioning TPF. Maybe some of the girls who have had bad experiences can write a letter together without mentioning TPF? Or someone can draft a letter and others can sign it at an online petition hosting site.
 
After coming back to this thread today I am even more disgusted!! Who the heck does Coach think they are?? You just can't treat people like garbage and expect them to be loyal to the brand. After reading what many of you have experience I can safely say that I will never ever buy from Coach again. If a Coach bag strikes my fancy I'll just get it off of ebay. Looks like all of my future purse money will go directly to other brands!

pyari, i am done with coach too...i love the bags i have but i am done ordering with them. i am TIRED of being treated like dirt.

ive moved on to burberry and lv...my burberry experience today was AMAZING!!!!!! far better than ANY coach experience ive ever had.
