Hi, new here! So I am OBSESSED with the speedy 25b in the big empreinte. The only issue is I want it in all black and it looks like they only have it in turtledove or black with other colors. I want all black because I want it to go with everything while also being fuss-free. Anyone know if they plan on releasing this speedy in black? Or if you have recs for a similar bag? I’ve heard good things about DE but my heart is set on black I think.

I previously owned a Speedy 25 classic and gave it to my daughter as I felt the zipper was annoying and never used it because I was afraid of vachetta…lol
I have a variety of LV bags in my collection but only one monogram with black handles. Several DE & Epi items.
My dilemma is … should I return and get the the Azur instead of the mono?
Both are scary for me as I live in crappy climate.(snow/rain). I do want a Speedy in my collection. Any help deciding is appreciated!

I wouldn't return it, rather keep it and save money for an Azur print.
I can’t imagine wanting to return a monogram speedy. That bag is just elegant! Never felt that aura so strong on a bag!
I understand your dilemma as I live in a rain/snow not so great climate. However, I have all 3 canvas prints and I haven’t had any trouble getting A LOT of use out of each over the years. And my bags are still in beautiful condition (mono from 2006, Azur from 2014, DE from 2019.) Overall I feel the vachetta is more durable than it’s sometimes given credit for, and even when exposed to wind/rain/snow etc it comes out just fine. Granted, I live a suburban life mainly and that means car travel most places. When I do commute to the city by train I generally take my work bags (non LV) so there’s not a lot of daily long walks with my bags exposed to the elements. The typical exposure they get is from car to destination and back home again.I am all about collecting, using and rotating my bags. They are like grown up toys to me.

But back to your dilemma…putting aside weather concerns, I do see so much opportunity throughout the year to use all canvas prints. I love Azur on those lighter sunny days (yes mostly spring and summer but can be really beautiful contrast in fall and winter too), mono is just such a dependable, every-day all-day print, and the DE is in a class of its own with that ‘all beauty-no nonsense’ vibe it has going on. I love them all, and being such a Speedy girl, can only see the opportunities for them v. any hesitations on whether to use.

Is it crazy to want a set of all three!? 
Yes - that’s probably what I will do. My first LV was the Monogram Retiro. I always felt it was similar to the mono speedy and that is what has always held me back.
I would love to see pics of Speedy 35 in use. I had a 25 which loved but sold when I needed extra cash :'( and I'm now ready to replace it but considering the larger size. I think the 35 could be good for short trips away (I pack very light) while still being 'handbag' not 'travel bag'. I like vintage so will probably go pre-loved.
My only hesitancy is some photos online this bag looks HUGE but in others it looks quite reasonable in size?
