I’ve thought about protecting it, yes. I did hear from some famous youtubers that the best way to care for vachetta is to leave it untreated and let it age naturally.
I have also seen a lot of comments about the DE strap being stiff and uncomfortable. I am so torn.
I live the Mono better. It’s more me. But I also appreciate a carefree bag. I guess I have to decide which one to get first because I know I will eventually have them both. These speedy B’s are so lovely, we should have them in every print possible (one can dream, lol)!

I know!
I feel like if I exchange for DE, then the strap will bother me and I’ll miss the Mono. But then if the Mono were to get stained from rain, I’ll kick myself for not getting the DE.
It’s a though choice. I do wear a lot of black and feel like Mono goes better with black. Plus I’m more boho laidback and DE is more serious, I think. More grown up?
Still undecided. Wish weather weren’t an issue.

Haha, I know I’m going to get them both. I have the mono. Now it’s just a matter of what size I want for the DE. But more than likely the 30 cause I carry a ton of stuff.

I would do both in 25 because I like smaller bags but I think 30 is such a nice size too.

I have it in DE and I’ve always thought the strap is very comfortable; however I say stick with mono because you should follow your heart. Use the bag and don’t stress about it. You could always carry one of those compact reusable sacks in your speedy to put over it if you ever get caught in heavy rain. I got caught in heavy rain with my classic speedy in mono and it got a couple of spots on a chap. Stressed me out for awhile but then I realized it’s minor and no one sees it but me. As that bag developed more patina it became less noticeable to me.

So true. Thank you, darling. I’m still torn. I have another 6 days to decide but leaning on keeping my Mono, regardless of weather. I have to learn to not baby my bags so much.

Don’t know what to do. I am more of a Mono girl and so in-love with the bag I bought but I also want to use it! I’ve never been a DE fan until recently when I got a DE Mini PA. It’s so gorgeous and that red interior is wow. But Mono is so hippie cool and classic. Ugh. What a LV conundrum!
Should I just wear the Mono and let it get stained since it is inevitable anyway or get the DE and later (way later when I have the funds lol) get the Mono too just to alternate between the two depending on weather?

I completely understand what you mean. I’m so afraid of the first water spot. But, I found this pictures one the Turenne page, the owner had a new bag and she was caught in heavy rain, I think it was on a guided tour, and she couldn’t protect it. The whole bag was completely wet, men she came inside a dry place, she wiped it and let it dry. I must say it got a beautiful patina quick. I think bags with patina is the most beautiful ones

hey there. i have a question, i just posted a picture of my 3 year old speedy b for a size comparison and noticed it STILL has the "new folded" wrinkles. i keep it stuffed when not in use... anything else i can do?

I did the patina champ method a couple of times before wearing my speedy b out. Then I also used Apple guard after the patina champ method. Now I take it out in the rain. No problems. None. I’m happy with it.
